When you come to the Christmas play at Prichard this year, look at the kids with speaking parts and see what they have in common.

Haven't seen the play, but I am willing to bet the main roles are being played by teachers kids, or one with money?????

The kids with the speaking parts are usually kids with family in the school system or families with prominent names in Grayson. They throw a few kids in there that are unknown so they can't be accussed of discrimination. Doesn't seem fair. It is usually the same kids every year too.

You have no idea how right you are, a couple yrs ago my daughter was going to have a speaking part in a play. Well when a teachers daughter came back from being sick my daughter lost her speaking part. I won't let my kids participate in any of there plays.

Try being an involved parent and having a child with a talent and then you wouldn't be complaining about this :D Don't blame the school system and teachers, obviously they are involved with their children and what's going on with them and they talk to other teachers I would bet. So, why don't you stop assuming everyone is against you and your child and get out there and off topix complaining and be seen and talk to your child's teachers. You won't believe the difference it would make!!

Why is it that the same kids get to be in the Christmas play every year, but your child can only be "Yellow Jacket of the Month" once? Another thing, if one child doesn't pay in my child's class to go on a field trip, then the whole class doesn't get to go. Maybe these teachers should either give every kid a speaking part in the play or give none of them one, afterall fair is fair, right?

Well I retired ther as an employee and I know first hand that they/the school employees are told to pick the staff's family and relatives.
Especially if mom and dad are working in a hig level job BE SURE THEY HAVE A MAIN PART!!!

hat is disgusting and disgraceful
I didn't cater to their games of the rich and famous so as a retired teacher from the system(glad to be out of there)need to say I wasn't on their high and mighty list.
But the concerned parent, YOU ARE CORREC!!

the kids involved with the school throught the parents get to have the main parts and the extra attention.
Know first hand @!!!

I always tried to take the needy under my wing, as they need extra attention, I guess that is why I was never on the high and mighty list.

But I can lay my head down at night knowing that I tried to help those who need the extra help instead of playing politics and letting the teacher's kids and BOE kids have it their way.
Just glad to be out of there. But I do miss trying to assist the children that need it, not the high and mighty names.

So if anyone gets a chance please help the one that need the extra little help!!

We never know when of it that could be us one day!!!!!!

Ok, First I have to ask who "They" are that told you to do that? And next, you're probably out of there because you're not very good at grammar. That tends to be a problem when you're a teacher. I seriously highly doubt anyone would ever have told someone "Be sure everyone to put the other teachers kids in the play ok" REALLY!! Like they held a secret Prichard Teacher meeting and 1st rule of Prichard Teachers "Don't talk about how we roll and put our kids in EVERYTHING" this is so funny. I had parents that did and still do with my child try that it's who's name bullcrap. It's just that BS...if I want my child to be involved then I need to be proactive in her education. It's a career choice these men and women made to be teachers and there is no reason those of you complaining couldn't be teachers if you chose so since you're so educated and well rounded then go to college and be a teacher and stop insulting these men and women at Prichard who educate our children. What do think their day is like? There is a good reason I did not chose to be a teacher, I don't have the patience needed to not choke little Johnny when he is a smartass because his parents didn't teach him manners. That is not a teachers job yet more and more they have to teach social skills to children as well. I don't know any teachers personally either know that:) So shut up and stop bashing someone for doing a job you are capable of if you had chosen to do so and did not.

Well if they're not a teacher, then no doubt their kid didn't get a part in the play.
Is it okay

Is it okay for teachers to fart during class, and during the play?
