Ever notice how most of the ones that don't have money for food for the holidays or money to get their kids Christmas gifts always have money for Black Friday?

Because on Black Friday you can get a 50 ft plasma for 79 bucks. Any other day it would be 4 thousand.

Hell we'd all have black Friday money if we stood around and bummed others to feed us on the holidays and buy our kids toys. I guess a 5O INCH tv is more important than food or their kids a Christmas gift. Its too bad these people don't beat down the doors for a job like they do for a tv!

Free maid service, getting their kids off to school for them, do their hair, manicures, pedicures, cook meals or drive them out to dinner at fine restaurants. Who knows what they will want next.

Maybe they were trying to take what money they had to buy their kids a few gifts while they were cheap, and maybe they were not. Just because someone is receiving some kind of assistance doesn't mean they should be judged for every move they make. I hate to see people that live off the government because they are too lazy to work. It also drives me crazy when they do get money and buy stupid selfish things instead of things they truly need. However everyone on food stamps or some kind of assistance are not the same. I have received assistance before, I am very grateful that I found a good job and no longer need it. I am also very grateful that the help was there when I needed it. Believe me when I say I did not enjoy having to depend on assistance but it was my ONLY choice at the time. I am not disagreeing with you only saying don't automatically look down on someone because they are receiving benefits you never know their situation. I think there should be a time limit so that these people that have been on it forever and never intend to go to work would be forced to work. They are the ones that ruin it for everyone!!

So you see nothing wrong in begging for food and then turning around and going Black Friday shopping?

I agree wholeheartedly, but people will tell you that the kids would suffer. Well my question to them is this, what happens if I fail a drug test at my job? Do they think my EMPLOYER is going to let it slide just because I have kids?

ALL KIDS DESERVE A GOOD CHRISTMAS. They also deserve GOOD PARENTS. Too many kids have lazy parents who won't work and lay around having more kids for the rest of us to raise for them.
If parents are disabled, that's different and there's programs that help. I bet you already know that.
Our church collects under privileged kids names and the congregation picks a name off a tree and purchase's a gift for that child. Many other churches do to.
People have no pride anymore.

I work at Wal Marts and you have no ideal how many able bodied young men come thru our lines trying to buy, beer, cigs, on their cards ,and get mad when we have to turn them down.
I have to work and I have to be thrifty buying food for my family, but you should see what people buy with their welfare cards. It's a disgrace.

Ohhh yes they do, just not in what they should be putting their pride in--THEIR KIDS!!! They are too concerned with what this one and that ones doing, their drugs, their cars, their boyfriend/girlfriend/pretend spouse who's secretly cheating on them. Some of them do this all year long and for 2 days during Christmas all of a sudden act like they care about their kids. It makes my skin crawl.

They pretend to care to get more stuff that they can sell for their own use, makes no diff if it's kids toys or not. Just enough for a quick fix they can get someone else to pay for.

More like stupidity and no more morals than animals. Drugs and sex makes their world tilt. A few years ago the state would have taken their kids so they would have a chance in this world.
The government doesn't care anymore.

I agree completely also everyone on assistance are not worthless no good people. I know there are ones who do abuse the system but not everyone does. I sure hope the people who constantly poke fun and criticize everyone that receives help never falls to unexpected hard times and need it, they may just eat their words!! Because a childs parents are financially struggling should not mean they do not deserve gifts.

The kids can't help what thier parents do or don't do. They're the innocent ones and are still deserving of a nice xmas. The kids don't ask for the life they end up with. They only get what they're given. Shame on some of these parents but God bless the little ones. All children deserve to have Santa visit them....

the government has no business in this.
This I do not understand. People will hold your position on the worthless poor because of the drain of taxes. Yet you have no problem with the government try to control morality (which it can't) and intervene socially.
We have a nanny state designed to get people hooked on big gov't.
I'm lucky as hell for what I have, job wise. I dont understand how so many passively and apathetically scream "get a job" yet there isn't that many jobs to be had. There is just so much anger and hatred toward each other. No one realizing that we are being played. We have a gov't hellbent on destroying this Republic. They're doing a damn good job too. The people can't stop fighting themselves long enough to learn the truth.
In the grand scheme of things, yes welfare in bad, but when the privately owned Federal Reserve uses $14Trillion of taxpayer wealth not created yet to bailout European banks, I think welfare is a drop in the bucket.
