Does anyone else have problems with they're internet and or phone service with Windstream? I am a customer, who is so sick and tired of Windstream and they're bad service! I would love to find another internet and phone provider but they are the only company available for this area...anyone have any ideas?

Sad to say it but windstream is the best we've got in Grayson...:(

If you ever have to go in the Windstream store in Ashland, make sure you have KATHY wait on you. No matter how long the wait line. I forgot the other woman's name (maybe Johnda) but she is EXTREMELY rude. She was not helpful and actually even gave me wrong info. I guess customer service is almost gone from everywhere anymore. Thank goodness Kathy is there and I wish I could remember her last name. In case I ever have to go back in there again!

I pay for 12Mbps and I'm LUCKY if I get 4-5 Mbps most of the time. During the evenings when the kids are home from school it's even worse. As for calling and complaining, it's always the same bs, "There's an outage in the area" or "We're installing new equipment". Suddenlink isn't any better, so what do we do? Is it too much to receive what you pay for with good customer service nowadays?

There is a bill in affect Obama has has to sign in order to provide rural areas like ours with decent phone service and internet. Windstream would not even provide some elderly people with phone service because it meant new lines and poles. I just hope they bring in a bigger and better phone company soon because little wimpy Windstream can't hang around in KY much longer.... mu internet speed is suppose to 3 mbs it is on a good day0.43 mbps but most of the time its like 0.08 no joke how pathetic is that....had my lines checked and a service call to my home, no difference. They should have never tried to conquer the internet service in this area because they have failed miserably....

my dial up ran better than the dsl. I want to suggest everyone get on the net an file a complaint with the better business buerea. if they receive enough complaints, I was told that they would force windstream to fix the problem. I also suggest that you send a formal complaint to windstream main office. Before long I really believe we could file a class action lawsuit and force them to do something. We are paying for services that they can't provide. Like I am paying for 12 mbps and iam lucky to receive 3-4 on a goodday. Here about a month ago they turned my service down at the main office. I went from running 3-4 to running like .27 mbps. It took me 3 days calling. Finally I had called dish network an was checking on satellite internet. They had done diagnosis an had contacted windstream they finally sent a tech by the name of aaron he checked everything an that's what got the problem fixed. I was told that they turn everyone down alittle so others who pay for 3 could connect. I am sorry but windstream you suck. Plus I hate the fact that you pay for the service and on days that you can't use it know they won't credit the service.

It's pathetic when you pay for 12Mbps and only get 3Mbps. Maybe our bills should reflect this, you get 25% of your Mbps, then you pay 25% of your normal bill. I bet it wouldn't take long for things to get fixed if this were the case.

no they no longer give credit for slow service. in the month of march there was 16 days I couldn't use my internet. that's what I was told by the billing office.

I just called to report my internet being slow and they told me there was an outage in the area. I then proceeded to ask if I could get a credit for my internet being slow then, she put me on hold for 3 minutes or so and came back and said she could give me a $20 credit. Btw, the number I called was 1-800-347-1991.
