IGA's newspaper ad shows Maxwell House coffee at $6.99. Went to Justice to buy and they had a sign posted. Limit 1 "with $25 additional purchase". Just wanted the coffee but wasn't going to spend $31.99 to get it at IGA. "False Advertising". On sale at Ralph's Monday for $5.99

Too many stores in Grayson act as if they're doing YOU the favor by just being in business. Too many are way overpriced, offer lousy service and lack a good selection. Until the few select families that run this town are gone, Grayson will NEVER grow.

Btw, what are they waiting on to build the new Foodfair? Too see if the Mayan Calendar is going to come true?

The new Weaver's store is the best store in town.

What is the funky odor that assaults the nostrils when you first walk in the door at IGA? It was there in the old store and is still there. Anyone else notice this or is it just me??

I've tried shopping both grocery stores and find that I can save double, if not triple, the money I spend locally just by driving to Walmart.

I also heard that the new "Ralphs" store won't be opening until the whole Walmart ordeal is over. I just wish the "families" in town would just sell out and allow this town to grow.

The smell is terrible and I heard it is a sewer problem. After comparing prices & selections in Grayson, Walmart & Kroger. I find FoodCity in Louisa to be the better place to shop. Fantastic variety all over..beautiful produce, great bakery & Deli. Sure some items are a little higher but its worth it to have the variety of ethnic & reg foods.

If you have been shopping at both store then you'll know a lot of IGA's regular prices are cheaper than Foodfair's sale prices. The only odor in IGA is from the fried chicken in the deli, and the store is very clean. Customer service at IGA is excellent and as far as selection goes, the owners have said to request what you are looking for and they will try to get it for you. Even if we had a Walmart the people in this town would have bad things to say about it...

Since you deem it to be clean, then it must be clean, right? I mean what makes you think your opinion is any better than the others?

I have to agree with Grayson Shopper...The many times I have been into IGA the only time I could smell anything was when they were making fish in the Deli...Food Fairs prices are outrageous and if you check IGA's WEEKLY sales papers you will see they consistently have great deals...and the customer service at IGA is impeccable compared to Food Fair where you would have to hunt somebody down to help you or beg for a carryout to actually carry out your groceries...you don't get that kind of customer service anywhere else in this town or Ashland as far as I'm concerned...will continue to shop at IGA and am glad they are here...

Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one. I am stating facts. The store is clean, the Justice's spent a lot of time cleaning up the mess that Slone's left behind. If you go in the store and it isn't clean (in your opinion) then why don't you point it out to the management so they can make sure its done correctly.

I don't either is a great choice, but it's what we are stuck with unless you go out of town to buy groceries. The cashiers in both places don't want to be there, the baggers don't want to carry out you groceries and the prices of both are outrageous. I was happy to see IGA come here, until I actually bought items from there. If you want stale , overpriced food along with horrible service, then either place is the place for you.
