i wasnt a player but i do agree with those choices. and basketball(my personal fav being ladies b-ball) has to be the best sport ever. those were the days, huh? the year the ladies (molly, kim, etc) went to bowling green to state championship, i was there. they played a great game. those west end catholic schools are just super tough to go up against, but if any of that team happen to see or hear of this thread.... thanks for the great games and great memories!

If we were putting together a men and womans team from east carter i would choose the following:

Men: Greg Cherry Vanallen Burge Derek Fleming Mike Bowens and John Stephens.

Woman: Lauren Scott Holly Jackson Molly Jackson Teccoa Gallion and Kim Stapleton.

In my eyes these teams would definetly be competing for state.

Most of the really good athletes didnt get to play
ball at East Carter (politics). Kevin Estepp, Elwood Kitchen and Tony Hall were the best I ever
saw. Tony played for East but sat the bench, the other never even got the chance.

best all around athlete was art or dane. I would vote art but dane was right there. Both were hard to handle in any sport. I played with dane in every sport growing up all the way through high school and he as good a leader as anyone. I wish him well at eastern.

i usually just look at all the posts on here this is only the second time i have ever posted on here but i must say referee man your post on the five best b-ball players the girls is close(scratch the jackson girls) but the mens is comical one of those players might b close but the others is just ridiculous i guess you have seen east carter b-ball for the past 15 years because everyone you have said has been in that time period really man thanks for the laugh

I agree with Observation man about the list of guy players that Referee Man put on his list. Mike Bowens and John Stephens both played the same time that Biddle played and ask any body that played with us nathan was ten times more athlete than them. And for the girls what about Freedom Sexton she needs to be put on that list, but Art is the best ever.

Art without a real close 2nd he could play all 3 major sports and be the best player on the court ,field or whereever for either team one guy with that with the want to probably could have been a pro at one of these sports , I seen him play against a guy that was incarcerated at summit prison as they had a basket ball team and would let outside teams come in and play them he schooled this guy his name skip henderson he played for Golden State in the late 70's was in trouble over drugs.

Art or Dane were the best overall athletes.

The absolute best at any one sport would probably be Aaron Miller. Went to a D-1 school (UK) and according to coaches, had legitimate NFL potential.
