I had a loved one in there, I am glad she went... but it was not what it was suppost to be.
When I think of rehab it means couseling for both the flesh and the soul, she got her soul, but the flesh was not attened to by what she told me.
Then she got a ticket for "fund raising" which is nothing short for begging for money on the streets, they told her if she went to jail then God wanted her to be there an witness to someone..and she was on her own.
We as the family sent her there thinking she was at a safe place, somewhere she was going to heal at, but all it did was make it harder on her in ways...shes says she glad she went there she learned a lot as far as her soul, but there is a lot more she needs to deal with that they didnt attend to. I can say she is clean now and I can see a great change in her...but I dont think she would recommend this so called "rehab" to anyone else. I am not bashing this place, if it was good for you then great!
I am just saying it was not right for my loved one.
Best luck to you! God Bless!!!!

Okay, i went there myself!! Yes i did leave on my own and regret it everyday. The women i met there was like family, and that was from only about two months of being there. They TRULEY care about you and WANT to see you serve God, because it worked for all of them. Everyone there has been through the same struggles and addictions as me, and they were LIVING and paying it forward. ONLY by the grace of GOD am i clean and sober today and almost finished with school. BUT i truley believe that had i stayed there for the long haul it wouldnt have taken me about four years AFTER i left there to get clean. Im not goin to respond to all the negativity that has been said about this place on here but i hurts my heart. I had been on pills for years before i went there, wanted sooo badly to get off of them but was scared to death of the withdraws, i got there and as soon as i walked through the door a group of wonderful women gathered around me and prayed for me and prayed with everything they had and i KNOW even after they prayed with me they said prolly 100 more prayers to themselves that night, i felt awesome the whole time i was there as far as physically, of course i missed my children and my family but like they told me, i was there for a REASON AND TO TRUST GOD. I can say this with all my heart that GOD is truley present at CRC, i will NEVER forget the people from there that had such a HUGE impact on my life and my families life. GOD IS GOOD

Religious Cult!!!!!! This place is just a money gimmick and they try their best to brainwash people into serving them. And it nasty as hell and in the ghetto with no official booking and a few residents who no doubt have TB. bedbugs are bad, they have inadequate bedding and basic fundamentals. Your not allowed to turn the heat on and it gets so cold in the winter you can see your breath. Then you have to pray for 2 solid hours every morning as soon as you wake up.

I just left from CRC and had to find my recovery in a different place. It is right in the middle of a war zone in Cincinnati. Its in Over the Rhine which is a worst dope spot in the city and is flooded with drugs. Its an old run down slum building that is infested with bed bugs. I witnessed this via several clients with massive bed bug bites all over their bodies. You are forced to get down on your knees and pray for over an hour at a time several times a day. They teach clients to speak in tongues which is indeed wrong. That isn't something that is taught. They try to brain wash people. I do believe Christ Jesus is the way, but the way they go about it is wrong. It is the worst set up I've ever seen or heard of. STAY AWAY.

Not a good place. Its more like a homeless drop in center. The place is falling apart. They really do MAKE you get on your knees and pray OUT LOUD and if you dont you get in trouble. All they do is pray, read the bible, and fundraise for money. People dont stay either. There are a few guys that have been there forever and during my few day stay I seen a bunch of guys come in and then immediately leave. It is also true about the bed bugs. I got ate up pretty bad with them there. Tobacco is not allowed at all. You are not allowed to touch any of the electronics (TV, radios, etc.) The people weren't very friendly. The leaders were kind of stuck up. You are not allowed to contact your family for 30 days but after three or four days you can go out in the hood and beg for cash?? Doesn't make much sense to me. It is a cult, they do try to brain wash you. I believe in Jesus too, but I don't think it should be forced upon someone. It is really tough for guys coming that are going to experience detox symptoms. They give you no medicaitons (not even ibuprofen). You are not allowed to leave and there is nothing to do. You have to stay pretty much in your bed. This place is a joke!!

I, too, had a loved one go there. I truly appreciate CRC. They don't turn any one away. They do expect everyone to "man up" own their problems, earn their keep, and help others. You will learn about God, you will attend church. It has been referred to as a "spiritual boot camp". Everyone gets up at the same time, lots of praying, respect for others is a must, respect for authority. It is run by people who went through the program, so it's pretty hard to feed a bunch of crap to someone who was an addict. They dont pity the addict and help them determine who to blame for their addiction. Although it doesn't cost to go there, it is not a free ride, you will be expected to fund-raise, minister to others, all the cleaning, cooking, maintenance is done by the men & women there.
It is a great "complete" program. Why not learn responsibility, honesty & respect for others.. that is what many addicts have forgotten. Obeying rules is very hard for the addict. Changing attitudes and learning new thought process takes time.
CRC takes many of the men and women to their court dates. Any one can go to church there each Sunday.
They will not tolerate any drugs including tobacco products. If you are looking for a program to get you transitioned from a few drugs to a different drug.. such as the methadone clinic.. don't go to CRC.
Give them 9 months ... your life will be changed.
They do not sugar coat the facts.
I got to know a lot of them, I have a lot of respect for them.

I went there myself and most of the leaders and pastors have really good intentions and this place changed my life. However, pastor Vince green in Louisville still to this day gets high on pain pills with his wife on a daily basis. He came from crc and has been in the ministry for 11 years. Kinda hard to change your life when you see them higher than groceries all the time.

I know from experience, that Jesus touched me there. I stayed 8 months. Hardest most awkard thing I have ever done in my entire life. It's not nasty, we work our tales off! What do you expect? It's not the Marriott..lol It is designed in ways to work that most ppl will never get, even some of those that go there for help. Are you there to get your life straight or worried about having salt or pepper on the table? It a men's home for a reason. I was the most tore up drug addict u have probably seen. Heroin, pills, etc. Tore up! Sober three years now w a great job and friends. God has restored more than I could have ever expected! They teach very well! Pray 3 hrs a day on our knees. I needed it. You only get what u put into it! If ur comfortable their somethings wrong! Your constantly pushed outside ur comfort zone. Like I said most ppl would never understand, even some that want to make an excuse to justify why they won't stay and nit pick. Man up and and really get to know Jesus.

At 14 I gave my life to Christ in a very serious manner at a mission trip I attended with my church. I remember the man leading the prayer pleading with us that if we were not quite ready to make this vow of Life servitude to the lord we shouldn't proceed with said prayer.I have fallen way short of my call and have suffered greatly for this. I am now 27 years old, have been in and out of jails/prisons and some truly miserable situations due to my turning my back on the light. I am struggling with alcohol and drug addiction and have been searching for help for months. This flyer has found me and i know it to be Gods will. I made the call today and will be there as soon as I get permission from the courts. I honestly do not believe that this place could be worse than some of the prisons I've been to (which is where you'll end up living a life that makes this course necessary). Folks pray for me and that I get to you straightaway. I thank you for this opportunity and am ready to surrender to my savior.

Pretty unbeilevable place. This is a cult. NO ONE can teach you to speak in tongue. They claim to be a "Christian" based rehab facility."Christians " do not beg for money. This is not a facility or even a home. This is a run down building with two upstairs apartments. One for men and one for women. You are not allowed to see the inside before you agree to stay. You are also not allowed any contact with anyone for the first 30 days. Family should be the main support to recovery. They dont allow contact with anyone from the outside because they cant brainwash the outsider. You will be required to pass out fliers and "Blow Pops" in exchange for money 6 days per week 12 hours per day. You bring all of the money back for "Pastor" Rick to live a nice life while you get $3 per day to eat lunch with. You will be brainwashed and told that if you leave that it is the devil taking you away. This may be ok for the homeless. If you need help and really want help..... AA meetings are free and you can go to them several times a day. There is no rehab in pushing lollipops on the streets. My question is... Does Rick Martinez have a green card?

Ha, to bad he DID give up the bad habits, has a job now, and is doing great. No, he wasn't lying, you don't know me, nor my family, so don't try to be accusing him of lying. And if you think it's SOOO amazing as you appear to be bringing it upon, stop talking to me. Continue telling these people a bunch of lies and how great it supposedly is. This Forum is not for yourself and I to be speaking back and forth, I gave the truth, and my opinion, and that's the end of it. But don't sit there and say "Oh I bet your family member was lying just as an excuse to come home" and "Oh sounds like your family member wasn't ready to give up the bad habits." You know nothing about me, and nothing about my family, so you should consider this, stop acting like you know. I didn't ask for your input thank you.
Please know that ALL drug addicts are liars; it is an integral part of the disease and there are no exceptions. Drug addicts must lie to friends and family to hide the extent of their habit and to manipulate loved ones in order to receive undeserving aid. Most all steal too. Don't be in denial of the truth about your loved ones that are addicted to drugs and don't give them any help or you will only prolong the inevitable - more pain and suffering.

i would like to let all who are interested in not only getting help for what every problems he or she maybe facing at this time in their lives that the cincinnati Restoration Church is excatly what it says it is a church not a rehab or drug/ alcohol program facility it is a safe haven for people who are suffering within themselves rather it be with drugs, alcohol, or what ever defects a person may have. This is a place where a lost person can find themselves again with the help of men and women who have been through the same struggles but most importantly through the power of Jesus Christ can be saved and regain the life they once had. With the power of faith and belief within not only yourself but with God and his son Jesus that all things are possible and there is the ability to live a life once again. yes it is not a fancy holiday inn motel or a 5 star sweet, but it has a five star God there and people who will care about u more than most of the people in you life ever had. So if you really are tired of being tired, give the church a chance if it is the place God wants you to be then i can promise you that he will take care of you for as you can still see if you are still a living while reading this God has never left your side for you still are here with an opportunity to live a life once again. Jesus Christ saved my life the church just helped guide me to see the truth. Amen
