Funny!
You all cannot agree on what is Right, and What is Wrong!
Some of you think Killing Babies is good, some don't..
Some of you think Gay is ok, and others don't...
Some of you think stealing is wrong, and others are socialists...
....
If you all got together... you'd either be a Christian, or the Anti-Christ!
But... there are No points for being half Right!
Either it's ALL Wrong, or ALL Right!
Thank God for His Grace, and Jesus' sacrifice!
The only Real sin now, is the rejection of Christ!
We all get what we ask for... I ask for Christ!
Amen!

People should take their kids out of the damn public schools anyway, for a lot of reasons. I'm with you there. Either homeschool them or send them to a private school if you can afford one and can find a decent one.
No "law" like that would ever pass.

There's still people (not quite as) "out there" with at least SOME common sense.

They KNOW they cannot use IGNORANCE as an excuse.

And KUDOS to MANY public schools that presented ANTI BULLYING campaigns just this past year!!!!!!!!!!

More power to THOSE kind(s) of Educators!!!!!!!!!!

Pretty bad when it takes a NY smut of the year book, to point out the decadence of humans with tawdry issues.

95% inerrant... minor spelling mistakes!
Chew on that when you want to knock the KJV...
If you want to knock one, I sugest the NLT...
Big errors in that one!
Good day!
See the problem with this is that every church has their own agenda to push, so they have a specific version picked out to validate their views. You're no different (as is evident when you praise on version and knock another).

90% of statistics are made up. How could it be minor spelling mistakes? Does it really make sense that translating a work from one language to another would only leave you with spelling mistakes? No, that's you parroting what you've heard others say. It's another way to convince yourself that you're right.

Some of the languages it was translated from are quite ambiguous at times. That's why there have been plenty of times when the language was debated amongst scholars. One simple word can change the meaning of something entirely, such as when they were trying to figure out if one word translated to "shall" or "may."

They didn't have the original manuscripts when crafting the King James bible, so you still do not have what was originally in the bible. And when you think about it, although I know you won't, from the time the first version of the bible was completed to when the King James version was completed, there is such a huge gap of time where people could have added and omitted many things in the bible. It would be crazy to think that someone didn't make changes to something in there along the way--whether it was a disgruntled monk or someone with a novice understanding of the source material.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what translation is closest to the 1st century manuscripts, because it's all wacky.

If you want to know where All religions from 10,000 years ago forward come from study the Sumerian Story..

While I diasgree with many his positions, Zecharia Sitchin has a good narrative of the Sumerian tablets so far.. After decades of study we still have only translated a small part of the tablets we have found..

I do not know as much about Sumeria as I would like (I'm working on it), but I do remember reading quite a bit on how there were several biblical stories that came from there; for example, the stories of Adam and Eve and Noah come from the Epic of Gilgamesh.

Sumeria was definitely a huge influence to Babylon, and the Ancient Hebrews there were clearly influenced by Sumerian mythology. And Babylon is where Abraham came from so it makes sense that (if he existed) he would have used some of that material when forming Judaism.

There are remnants of other religions in Christianity. Of course there is the Ancient Egyptian religion, but it seems the oldest religion, animism, shows up a little in the bible. Animists believed that animals, plants and landmarks all had spirits. The snake in Eden and the burning bush remind me of this.

It seems Christianity is an amalgamation of various religions. I guess they were afraid of following the wrong religion so they mixed them all together in order to follow them all at once.

The Egyptian constructs of Ra and Osiris are also based on the Sumerian constructs but the Sumerian idea was Not based on any religious positions, had nothing to do with magic.. They say in their writings that Real Flesh and Blood Aliens came from the sky and genetically engineered Modern humans as a work force and taught them the skills to build megalithic structures and the knowledge that jump started civilization... Then those same beings got into a civil war... This gave rise to the later ideas of a God and heavenly Angels versus Satan and Fallen Angles.. And the stories from the ancient Indian writings of flying crafts ...

Every Ancient civilization pre 1st dynasty Egyptian has the same narrative that God(s) were not mystical magical invisible thingys, but Flesh and Blood visitors that landed in craft from the sky with great technology and knowledge of the stars.

Oh also in your studies note that the Sumerians state the Earth is Not the 3rd planet... They say they were told Earth was the 7th planet as they counted from the Outside inward so the very basic biblical construct of Genesis of 7 days is thought to be due to that concept being passed along and altered as a Creation time where as the Sumerians saw that they were Created on the 7th Planet by genetically altering the existing evolved hominids to what we consider Modern Humans today, giving them the Jump Start on civilization that is not explained by existing theory... Existing civilization theory was tossed out the window altogether in 1998 with the finding of Gobekli Tepe in Turkey, and the later finds of cities underwater in the last few years...

Does that make it okay because it's about love? It won't be long now till they will also be lobbying for their rights to love who their attracted to. Will you be on that bandwagon as well, or is it only gays that have a right to love who they wish?
Children are not mentally mature enough to make a decision of marriage.
This is a none issue. It is only used to divert or by those who cannot comprehend the differences.

Private schools on the other hand can teach any religion they wish to teach, and I just have one last thing. Parents should be teaching their children- What kind of lazy, unknowing parent would trust someone else with their child's spiritual path? Grow up and start teaching your children stop trying to pawn it off on the schools. We are already one of the last nations in math and science this is an insult.
Supposedly the bible in this case is not being taught as religion, it is just some literature.
Yet all on this tread want bible study to teach religion.
