Heard some people from India bought the Guest House Inn on Stevens Blvd? Is the conference center being turned into a buffet place? Sad how the center has gone down since it was built.

the buffet is just a 2 day w week thing in addition to the services they have always offered. We will just have another option of a chance to get a goof meal locally

I think its a great idea myself. they serve good homecooked food and we need a good pace to go have Sunday dinner. Atleast they are clean and bed bug free unlike every other motel in Grayson.

Seems odd to use the convention center as a resturant. Must not be getting much business otherwise.

I think its a great use of their resources. Everybody is having trying times right now due to the economy. Basically it is a resteraunt used for gathering I would assume. I mean they have meetings and things there so they can have a dinner for the meetings. So why not take a couple of off days and make use of it?

The motel and conference center was not sold. It was taken over by a new management company. They are getting a whole lot of business. I think this Sunday buffet will be a great thing for Grayson we need a good place to eat. We haven't had a nice place since Western Steer closed for the church crowd.

I for one am very excited for this to happen. We always go out for Sunday dinner and for the past year we have had to drive to Asland. we starting going to Shoney's and the Huddle House after the steer closed but they are not worthy of a Sunday dinner. The HH is just plain filthy and Shoneys food has gotten more and more disgusting over the past few months until I finally got food poisoning there. So yes I am very happy this is happening.

I agree about Shoney's. Grayson does need a steakhouse. Grayson has never had anything good last for long. Hope the buffet goes over well.

I am the regional manager for the management company that now handles the GuestHouse International Hotel and the Grayson Conference Center.
I will be at the buffet this Sunday. I look forward to meeting everyone and answering any questions that you may have.
We start at 11:30 and will run until around 2:00pm. We will also have an area set up for making s'mores.

Thank you and I hope to see you Sunday.

Is there carry out? I assume its all you can eat so we can sit there and eat all afternoon? Smores? What's prices like? The Golden Place has a choc fountain, cotton candy and lots of choices on foods. That place makes it worth your money to drive there.

Hmm... new manager and Happy Camper just happen to both have ISPs in Lebanon, KY. That is not one bit suspicious.

Cute... someone "judged" my post for pointing out that the overly satisfied customer and guy running the place both happen to show up as having internet providers from the Louisville area (Lebanon, KY). No one else finds that odd? I find it insulting.

Why not just give yourself a fake review on Yelp!, create fake Facebook accounts, blogs, etc., rather than Topix?

Maybe I am wrong. I wish the venture luck. We need more options, but I am... Real suspicious.

I am sorry that you find it real suspicious. I live in Georgia. The ISP I am using while in town is that of the hotel's. It could be that the other post came from a guest staying at the hotel as well. As you can see, I post under my name. We do have a Facebook page and you are welcome to "like" us there. The only reason I looked at TOPIX was to answer the question being raised of the business being sold. I can more than assure you, I have not posted a fake review.
Thank you for wishing us luck. We are off to a great start.
