I dont like slones the people are rude, the meat always looks bad and it stinks inside. Ralphs is to high. Save A lot is about the only place to go but even that isnt much good. I would much rather go to Ashland and go to Krogers.

What's the deal everyone has there particular store that they like to shop at. Yes I shop Save-A-Lot for some items, just like Ralph's and Slones for other items. My opinion Ralph's has the best meat of any of the stores in Grayson

My only complaint with Ralphs is that all the freezer items I buy there are freezer burnt. The produce isn't always the freshest either. I really wish we had a Kroger in Grayson.

the one thing that needs to be addressed (in this grocery store) by the manager(s) is to stop the young checkouts & carryouts from holding a conversation while they are suppose to be checking out the customers! When I go to the grocery store I don't want to know if her boyfriend kissed her or if his girlfriend looked sexy nor anything else, I want to get my groceries & get the heck out of there.
If I wanted to know about their lives, I'd ask! But I don't want to hear it, I just want them to do their job and check my groceries thru. They get breaks & lunch, that's the time for chatting not during work hours. Do what you get paid to do, ok.

If you haven't worked in a grocery store before, it's rough. It's hard to stand there all day and not get to move around. Ive worked at two different grocery stores in my life, and it's not all fun and games. Give these kids a break. You cant expect them to always be stone quiet and never have conversations with their coworkers.
Besides, you cant tell me that you dont have conversations with people that you know while standing in line. In my years Ive heard many things from customers while working as a cashier that I wish I had never heard!
Just relax and let them go on with their lives, as you should do.

One thing I wish the customers would address is that fact that we don't care about their lives either. I don't want to hear about people with sick cats. I want to get my job done. The young kids are young kids. They do young kid things. Surely you remember what it was like when you were a child? I bet you gossiped and talked to your friends, too. Not to sound rude, espescially since I choose to NOT be anonymous on this site where people spew venom from every orifice of their body, but the customers do it, too. Think about that before you try talking about us, okay?

And, at the "site admenistrator," you spelled your screenname wrong. Also, you're Samuel Waugh. You also work at Ralph's. It's sad that you have to post under a really shoddy pseudonym. Grow up. And, see ya at work.

ok,#1 I don't have a stick up my butt, Thank You!#2 I have worked at a checkout myself so therefore I can say "that you don't have to stand around twiddling your thumbs when there's no customers!"
Also if you'll check my first post, I said nothing about them talking when there was NO customers in line! So learn to read. I have actually had things rang up wrong on my bill before because the checkout wasn't paying attention to my groceries, but to the bag boy & his conversation. Personally I prefer to carry my own groceries out to my car, that way I know there put in right. Don't get me wrong I know & like several of the carry out boys at Ralphs just as I know & like several of the checkout women. I just think that in general the people checking you out should pay attention to you & your groceries, not be talking to the carryouts. After I'm gone, if no one's in line, chat away.
