Prayers for the Family of this man, whoever he may be. We don't have to know the name, only need to know that the family would like their Privacy & we can Pray for Rest & Gods guidance thru this. I agree this site is the worst site to come to, but I know there will be some truth about anything bad on here. So sorry for the family & want them to know my Thoughts & Prayers are with them thru this sad, heartbreaking time.

My stepfather Drue Gay was the maintenance man that was killed on Sunday night. He will be very missed by his friends and our family. Not sure yet when the memorial service will be as he has children in Canada that want to be there. Thank you for all you sympathy and thoughts we appreciate it.

Rachael...Skip informed us of his passing...Guy and my thoughts are with your mom and all of ya...I have tried to email her but no answer as of yet...Skip has also been trying to reach her...I know we haven't talked to them in years...but he was still family...just know we are thinking of you all!

There will be a memorial service held sat evening Sept. 8 at 8 pm at the Kingdom Hall in olive hill ky for Drue Gay for any one wishing to attend

Another thing, do you know that Smithfield hasn't even took up money for his family, hung any black ribbons on their doors, and they even took down a sign employees had made in memory of him. I think you need to look in the mirror if you want to see simple.

I think the only thing Smithfield cares about is how this is going to affect production and will they be found at fault for an employees death.

Employees are just numbers in a database.

I agree all Smithfield thinks about is how much production they can get out. The way they look at things is there is always someone else to take your position. I'm sorry for the family's loss. He will be sadly missed by his co-workers.
