I think that it would be so much better having waitresses who take your order i think that would work a lot nicer. And i think that way orders wouldnt get as mixed up. But i do have to say there is much more better places i would rather eat at than jacks.

One of three brothers charged in a cocaine trafficking case pleaded guilty Tuesday and agreed to testify against his siblings, if necessary.
Elias Papandreou, 21, agreed to a six-year prison sentence by pleading guilty to criminal drug conspiracy during a hearing before Circuit Judge Victoria Rossetti.
Assistant State's Attorney Dan Shanes said Elias and his brother Gus Papandreou, 27, both attempted to pick up the same pound of cocaine from an informant working with police on Oct. 23.
Officials claim the plan to bring the cocaine to Lake County was set in motion by JACK Papandreou, 30, who is in federal ...

The second of three Lake County brothers charged in a cocaine trafficking case pleaded guilty Wednesday in Lake County circuit court.

Gus Papandreou, 27, was sentenced to 13 1/2 years in prison after Circuit Judge Victoria Rossetti accepted the deal negotiated between his lawyers and prosecutors.

Assistant State's Attorney George Strickland said Papandreou, of 1175 Mount Vernon Road, Grayslake, was one of two siblings who attempted to pick up the same pound of cocaine from a police informant on Oct. 23, 2003.

Police say the delivery was arranged by their brother, Jack, 30, now serving state and federal ...

I love Jack's. Good pizza, gyros, chicken sandwiches, actually never had a bad meal there. Large portions and reasonable prices.

Terrible. I ordered from there just because its 3 blocks from my house, figuring it wouldn't take too long to deliver. Ended up taking over 45 minutes, the fried mushrooms were soggy, the fries were soggy and cold, and the gyro was bland and had no gyro sauce on it, and they also got me a drink in a bottle instead of fountain because it was more expensive even though I asked for fountain. Yeah their portions are huge, but I would rather have half as much food if only it tasted better than this. Plus they tell you the total with a hidden delivery charge already in the total so you would end up tipping the driver on top of it.
I dont see them sticking around long...
A delivery charge is not a delivery driver's tip. If you ever delivered you would know that. They are 2 separate things!

MANY years ago, I delivered pizza from my horse and carriage (kidding).

DRIVER is so correct.

You might, depending on the restaurant, get all of the delivery charge ($2-$4) which, at almost $3 @ gallon, covers the fuel. But the tip, IF DESERVED based on courtesy and timeliness, pays the income.

I always tip an additional $3-$5 on top of the bill or 15%, whichever is greater!

I'm a driver for a sandwich shop in grayslake, and yes, delivery fee and tip are completely different. We don't get to keep the delivery fee, but rather get a small percentage of our delivery total to help with car maintenance. At most, the percentage equals about $4.00, and that's if you have a good day delivering.

So please, be nice to your driver!:-)

This place is terrible, their $7 pizza isn't even as good as a $3 Tombstone. Plus they are all drug dealers, all the brothers have been in jail for dealing drugs. Do the people of Grayslake really need something like this??? Stay away. They probably won't be open much longer, it doesn't look like anyone goes in there anymore. Hope they close and pack up and get the hell out of our town!!!

I went to the one in waukegan, and i had ordered some food to go, and as i was waiting, i could see the cooks cooking so i watched and it didnt occur to me until i was driving home that they dont wear gloves while cooking the food, nor did they wash there hands at all. so I threw it out when i got home. Thats just distugsting.
How many kitchens do the cooks wear gloves? When you go to a full service restaurant, do you go behind the line and make sure the cooks wear gloves there too? Have you ever worked in a kitchen? Heat tends to melt gloves, just a tip for ya. If you're that concerned about germs, cook at home.

Have you tried their Lasagna Special?
Lasagna, Salad & Garlic Bread?
It is very, very good & the portions are very generous!
I work at a company near Jack’s it is one of “our” favorite spots.
In the summer you can eat outside at umbrella tables and in
the winter they greet you with a large bowl of homemade soup for FREE. Their Hot Dog with everything special, served with "FREE" soup, cost less than $2.00. How can you beat that?

First found out about them when my sister invited me over for pizza. WOW it was so delicious. I had to buy one the next day. Mmm just thinking about their pepperoni pizza makes me want one. I'm hooked and proud to be, because it's that good. All you haters are just jealous. Enjoy your tombstones lol I'll enjoy Jack's.

This place is really bad!!! They don't cut or cook the beef daily like advertised, they get it delivered in frozen pre-packaging. Everything is crazy expensive! I went in there and ordered two hot dogs and was charged almost $9+tax with a drink, went in there again and got charged $4+tax. They charge you extra for everything! A small container of juice for a beef is almost a dollar and not even enough juice for half the beef. And .75 for two slices of cheese?? Wow, sweet peppers or anything other than the beef itself is going to cost you around that. The beef is not consistent, it taste one way one day and another the next. They water down the chili to save a dime. If a hot dog order is done wrong and brought back the employees are told to throw away the bun rinse the hot dog off put it back in the steemer and use it for another customers order. They clean the tables with Windex they never actually clean the tables off with any water or soap. The owners and the employees are rude! Mike, one of the owners is only looking to get your money and get you out the door! He has told the employees to give people as little food as possible and not to tell people of the special deals if they do not order them. I worked there for a short period of time and got to see how much Big Jacks is not there for the customers! I left there as soon as I could.
!!!If you don't want to get ripped off and eat some good food do NOT go here!!!!!
