Surprise, the Libune hasn't put a twist on the story. Now if he used a gun, we could really embelish this story. Ban matches, lighters, gasoline, and all flamable materials. This lady would be alive today!

This was my grandmother, Jean Lowrey. Her grandson Jeremy killed her on Sunday, according to the coroner. He first beat her severely in her sleep, then decided to stab her repeatedly, then he lit her on fire. I guess they went out on Saturday to a movie together, and Jeremy went with her to cash her Social Security check. We think this was premeditated. My grandma was very old, almost 80, had parkinsons disease, and only weighed about 100 pounds. She was defenseless against Jeremy. He is in court this morning facing 2 counts of firsy degree murder. He didnt even tell my uncle(his dad) until Monday at about 1:00pm, then left the house like nothing happened to go detail his car. Cops got him a few hours later at a car wash. My family is grieving deeply at this time. This is an unspeakable tragedy and I pray that Jeremy gets what he deserves.

He burned her in her bed, I can only hope and pray that she was already dead from the beatings and the stabbings. This is a horrible thing that has happened to my family and I dont know how we can overcome this.

And to add to it, he stole her money after he killed her, went and paid the cable bill, and sat at home joking and laughing with family, like any other day, before he decided to confess to my uncle.
He was already known to have mental issues, having "tried" to kill himself at least 5 times in the past. Im still not over the shock, it hasn't really set in that this even happened.

I myself cannot imagine how someone could do something so horrific to a grandparent! You know that Jeremy had to be so deeply mentally disturbed and it is scary when it is your own family. I am so sorry for your loss and my prayers are with you. I hope that he only gets every bit of what he deserves and more, Grand-Daughter.

I am so sorry to hear about what happened Grand-Daughter. This is a terrible event but it is also a time for you to appreciate yourself, your family, and all of the people who care about you, including those that are responding to your comments on this blog.

Sometimes in life, things make no sense at all. This is one of them. At the same time, you need to trust in God, and to celebrate all the good things about your grandma's long life. She should still be here, but if our faith is strong, then we all know she is in heaven and does not want you to hurt as you are. Let other people help you and remember that in this world, there is more goodness than badness, and that this sad and unhappy time in your life will pass. Look to the future and keep your faith.

That is just crazy!

How sick does somebody have to be, to even dream up something like that?

I am so sorry for your tragic loss!

I grew up down the street from the Lowry's. I knew Jean fairly well.I hung out with Gayleen (later Michelle). This is a horrible thing to have happened. I am so sorry for your loss. My mother, brother and sisters are horrified. We are the Bisig's we lived at 1407 Park Dr. Pat (mom) Kevin, Pauline and Teri and Lynne (me). I wish there was more I could say.
Please tell Jimmy, Leroy, Stuart, and Gayleen (michelle) how sorry I am. I feel awful since I can't remember the daughters names. It has been to long. If you want to e-mail me my e-mail is Xfeder@aol.com

This is a terrible tragedy that never should have happened. Jeremy has grown up with verbal and mental abuse his entire life, his mental illness is no excuse for what happened, but is the cause. I feel terrible for the family and know jean was loved and will be missed.

I worked w/ Jeremy at a former employment, and yes I could tell you this does not come as a surprise. He always appeared to have a mental illness. It is truly sad it ended like this, but sadly enough does not come as a shock as he complained about her quite often.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I am Nancy's niece from Texas and i just heard about the horrible news last night. I wish your family the best of luck. This is the worst thing that could happen and there is little words to describe how I feel for you and your family. I hope that Jimmy is doing better knowing that his health isn't that great either. I am so sorry again.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Libra

Don't try to do too much at once today or you'll disappear up you know what! You're all fingers and thumbs, accident-prone and things start breaking. It won't help if you're trying to concentrate at work and a certain chatterbox doesn't know when to shut up. Ask them to be quiet but try not to sound shrewish.
