3 dead, 6 injured in crash near Flagstaff

Six people were injured and three killed in a two-car collision Sunday morning along U.S. 89 near Gray Mountain, officials said.

I was on that road just after it happened. We were stuck for over an hour at a complete stop. Finally when we passed the accident scene, all we saw was a mini-van and another vehicle that resembled crumpled blue tin-foil.

I was there. I was at the scene just behind the yellow tape. I saw them take the dead teenagers out of the blue car and the paramedics working on the injured people that were in the van. My prayers go out to all the families that suffered. I have footage that I'd like to turn into the news but I'm not sure which one.

My family and I were in the stopped traffic behind this accident. After an hour we decided to "four-wheel it" around the accident scene (like most others) through the dirt about 1/4 mile from the road.(when we got to the Grand Canyon, you could surely tell who took the same path--dirty vehicles!) There is a reason why police don't let "looky-lous" go right past an accident scene. We were told one of the decedents was still trapped in one of the vehicles. I told my husband it was likely that someone tried to pass the blue semi-truck and I guess I was sadly right. My heart goes out to the grieving families of those killed and injured. God Bless. I prayed at the scene and have done so every night since.

AS a former truck truck driver on that rod Ive seen many many accidents on that road peole are just in to big of a hurry going nowhere!!
