No, he's acknowledging what pretty much everyone already knows. Psssst, here's a little secret for you Brian_G_Village_Idiot. Lilly Tomlin and Jodi Foster are gay too!! So's Larry Craig.

Marcus Bachmann isn't in politics Brian_G_Village_Idiot. So he isn't my political opponent. He's just a closet case .

Condemn it all you want bigot. Doesn't change the fact that its true, nor does it change the fact that you backed EVERY SINGLE Repbulican candidate exactly at the time they had to drop out of the race.....mostly because you're an idiot. It also doesn't change the fact that you did not want Romney because he is a Mormon, but now find yourself hypocritically endorsing him. Like I said....you have NO INTEGRITY.

You talk too much yourself, Jonah. But on a nicer note, congratulations on your 5 year anniversary! Five years ago today, you met the the fruit of your dreams in a Greyhound Station restroom. You quickly consummated the relationship near the urinal and walked out together as "phagg & phagg"!
I think its wonderful that you both plan on returning to the Greyhound Station and reliving the memory.
you should not talk about how you mother and father first met. Its kinda like a horror story

Well, you are losing your mind, for starters.

No where have you been capable of indicating even so much as a rational interest served by denying same sex couples equal protection of the law to marry.

is that the argument you are having? I've heard a lot of people including myself that have brought in other points to the way marriage is defined. So what difference does it make if someone disagrees with you? Are you a Nazi?

An argument would require an opposing view. Of late, you seem reticent to offer any such argument for your position.
RiccardoFire wrote:

Of course, you have failed utterly to indicate any legitimate state interest served by denying same sex couples equal protection of the law to marry that would render such restrictions constitutional.
RiccardoFire wrote:

Actually, no. You see, if I were I would be trying to force my moral views onto others using the law, as you are proposing.

I am arguing for equal protection of the laws, as mandated by our federal constitution. You are the one trying to strip constitutional rights from fellow citizens counter to the US Constitution. Can you tell which position is fascist? I give you a hint, it's not the one that seeks to extend the same legal rights and protections to all people.

How bout equal protection for schoolchildren that you wish to brainwash and turn into a progressive. There aren't enough fema camps or hospitals for all the sicko's to be rounded up and let them live their final years in sin and lust to be kept away from those that wish to raise a normal healthy happy family.

Feel free to illustrate any link between school curricula and same sex marriage that would render this point relevant to the topic at hand.
For that matter, feel free to indicate where schools address anything more damaging that then existence of homosexuality in an effort to curb bullying.

This is the kind of argument one offers when they have no valid argument on the topic at hand, so they instead attempt to misdirect and sensationalize the topic.

The approval rating for our govt dem or rep should tell people something. It's amazing how stupid some people actually look trying to stand up for such elite animals.

Audit the fed!
End the Fed!
Abolish the tax code!
Fox and msnbc's failure to cover Ron Paul should tell you how both sides are corrupt.
Who runs both sides of media and govt?
Uncle Ben's wild green rice wants to print more money.
Occupy wall st. So stupid they're at the wrong building, they should be at the federal reserve.
They distract you instead with dirty filthy sexual acts and find fools to project such behavior unto society as acceptable, healthy, and normal.

The point is: what is freaking left to argue here? If you want to bring up a point, you can read it here, every single point is here. What's funny is that this never stops. LOL!!!! All the points have been made, nothing, nothing will evolve out of this topix, copies won't be mailed out to the world.

If only you could stop being such a self righteous, sanctimonious, passive aggressive bitch and read more that the first three words of a post or got hat matter more that the first paragraph of the "studies" you try to pawn off as unbiased.

It's 41% of all first marriages in America end in divorce! The number rises to 60% when it comes to second marriages, and 73% when it comes to third marriages.

That about 50% of ALL marriages...and remember that over 50% of children are born OUT OF WEDLOCK...so much for your "ideal" family!

It's great that you are on the side of "traditional marriage" with nutty azz supporter like YOU SSM is bond to become law.

Now you are saying gay families are not equal because of bigotry.
That new twirl flies in the face of history, nature and common sense.
But hey, that's never stopped you before, has it?
Look twirly boy, you're going to have to do better to prove your point. I'm not saying that gay families aren't equal. You are. Where you fail, miserably, is in your inability to admit that the comparisons need to be done on a level playing field. You want to compare children from marriages that have maintained both biological parents (therefore unfailed marriages) to marriages that have one adoptive parent and one biological parent - the gay couples who've got children that fell into the age range dictated by the study you've cited. These, by definition are failed marriages.

If you want any credibility for your comparisons, you need to compare the subsequent homosexual relationships from failed marriages to the subsequent heterosexual relationships from failed marriages.

That I even have to explain this to you is a clear reflection of the lack of understanding that a life coach has compared to a trained psychologist. You're either too stupid to understand the concept or you're unwilling. That is your problem, not mine.

Cite your proof or accept that many of us think you're a liar.

If you think 98% is accurate you need to think a little more clearly. There is a good chance that 2% of the population is gay and that the vast majority of them would like access to marriage and therefore are in opposition to your notion. Then there are a number of heterosexuals like myself who see no need to limit marriage in the fashion that you do. Face it, you're a dying breed and will be seeing the same fate as dinosaurs in the next decade or two.

That's the part that I always laugh at, ELH... they claim to be taking the righteous road and that it's "all about the children"...

Where were these people before the whole same sex marriage question? What were they doing to protect the "traditional" marriages that were falling apart nation wide? What were they doing to "protect the children" born out of wedlock and those in single-parent homes?

"All about the children" is a lie. It is hypocracy. They do NOT care about children at all... it's their way of attacking those that they would rather bully than accept. It is immature and illogical.

A more salient comment/question is why does Marcus Bachmann deny that his clinic engages in reparative therapy when it actually does?

BTW, just in case you haven't been paying attention, Mr. Bachmann's sexuality has come into question for quite a bit now. The subject hasn't just seen light of day on this forum.

No, it isn't quite so simple. Or haven't you been paying attention? First he tried to pass hisseff off as a therapist for therapists. He finally made the claim to be a life coach. One has to wonder if Sally Struthers didn't introduce him to his lucrative career in bilking money out of stupid people with too much readily available cash. Drunken stock market sprees two years ago would have been better investments.

You can tell this with their anti-abortion stance. God forbid an unwanted unborn child be deprived of being the recipient of their disdain.
