Keep that positive attitude Norm, it's the only thing that will keep you going. It's been nearly 2 years since I last stepped foot in there and after all this time I have to read anything positive. The same methods then reaching the same conclusions now. I wish you good luck towards your future plans.

I worked at jaytec just short of 3 months... I was hired to work in the welding dept, yet spent most of the day pushing a broom and wiping down machines. I finally had enough when I was asked to keep running parts (that the set up man Shawn and bill knew were not good) I ended up walking out. Anyone considering working there please reconsider, this is definately not a place you should consider for employment.

Just be glad you're out and never look back Mel. Too many problems there for anyone to fix. I'm surprised any car manufacturer is still keeping them in business. I have worked with a number of people who worked there and a couple of other L&W plants, they all say the same thing that's said on this thread....nothing good.

One of the main problems working at L&W is they don't care about safety. I was a operator that ran the brose machine and the clamp would shut with me in the light curtains. I told maintenance and my supervisor, they worked on the machine a little and told me the machine must run and get back to work. Not sure how many people will get hurt, they care more about the parts then they do people and that's no lie.

Hello Ex-Worker. I agree with you 100%. I started working there in July 2012... Maybe we worked together.... But August 3rd of 2012 the Brose machine too the tips of my index and middle finger. Im not gonna say its a bad place to work... they "Treated" me well up until i came back to work after being off for 3 months. Still knowing im in alot of pain though they threw me back in the mix full force... Lame I Know. now they are shuting down and transfering everyone. Sucks big time. You should be HAPPY you dont work for the company anymore!

Sounds like typical L&W for you, dump a load of cash into a building only to pull up stakes and leave it empty a short time later. I'm so glad to be gone, almost 3 years now and life is so much better. Best of luck to those who stick around.

I got fired because my coordinator wasn't smart enough to do his own job, let alone telling other people what to do. I did my job very well for the (5)minutes training i received in that shitHOLE!! 2nd, of all that guy wasn't my buddy, pencil dick. 3rd it wasn't me that stuck my hand in the machine...so go stick a iron on your face, press firmly, it might do it some good...ohh make sure the iron is on HIGH. And i don't have to explain to anyone why i was fired. I did what i did because i had the BALLS to stand up for what i believe in. Unlike you MR Chickenshit. So next time you open your trap make sure you swallow the shit before you spew it out ok, Pal? Also to ALL you (PROUD)..JAYTECH wannabe employees....tell me this 10 years from now when this SHITHOLE is non-existent. They have more safety violations then OSHA allows in 20 shops. Theres no safety, no training, no gloves, sleeves, rags, for crying out loud. When I 1st started there i had to go to the hardware store in Chelsea and buy a cheap putty knife with my own money just to scrap the crap off JAYTECHS machines. They could care less about each and everyone of you, now that the place is up and running. Oh and when you come to Mickey D's for a job when Jaytech closes, don't forget to give me BILLS name for a reference. I'll make sure your hired.....LMAO
I worked there Since day one In Chelsea This place is like working in hell safety does not exist!

I can't believe that place is still around. It's been 5 years since I left there. I'm pretty sure most everyone is long gone since I was there....although it sounds like some of the douchebags are still around. Stay safe.....
