Coppell Police Suck...

Has anyone noticed since the start of the Sandy Lake/Denton Tap road work that Coppell Cops have officially began to be more of pricks than they were before? Today my friend was pulled over by an officer for cutting through a gas station when the road was blocked (which I know is illegal), but he came up to the car with an attitude and wrote them 2 tickets. I am so tired of you Coppell Police. You really are why people hate cops. Ever since the start of the construction you have been everywhere just witing for one of us to screw up. You're not out looking for the real crime, or helping to direct traffic. You're just causing more of a problem. I always heard the phrase, "Good cops go to cop heaven, bad cops go to Coppell", now I understand it. It's time for a change.

They should be able to contest this in court and win. If the intersection was blocked off and there was no other route.

The cops in coppell are a joke and a bunch of @!#holes. they will write you up for failing to signal a lane change even with no one behind you ... dropping a cigarette on the pavement as littering(no kidding)and not giving you the option of picking it up... anything to get revenue. They really do suck.

I've paid a fortune in property taxes to live in this pathetic and arrogant town, and wouldn't recommend it anyone ... can't wait to get out.

Yes, Ever since the now retiring police chief created the traffic unit, the city has been crawling with cops on motorcycles and in policecars hiding behind the bushes.
As a legal immigrant I am always surprised to hear everybody scream in the USA about the importance of freedom, while there is oppression right under their nose.
MAYBE IT IS TIME TO CLOSE THE MUNICIPAL COURT AND UNWIND THAT TRAFFIC UNIT.

Coppell police are making a nuisance (joke) of themselves. I live here and I'm not "mailing it in" from PA or Columbia (are you kidding? get a life).

True story - 2 years ago a cruiser came roaring up to our neighborhood gathering on Halloween. Two officers jumped out and came running up to the crowd and in all seriousness and with urgent purpose asked a group of homeowners, "Have you seen Sponge Bob?". As the impossible notion took hold, that this question was indeed serious (in their minds of course), a few answers were quickly offered by a "concerned" citizenry. "He lives in a Pineapple under the sea". "Right, he spends his time in Bikini Bottoms with a punk named Patrick". "I know where he works."

In truth, they were actually looking for a kid in a Sponge Bob outfit who pulled a prank, but came off as though they were chasing Capone.

Coppell police bully teen drivers and prey upon citizens in their own neighborhoods for silly infractions at times when people can't afford it and don't need it. They act with the self importance that can only exist in immaturity - it can be so irritating.

I guess we should be happy they don't have more serious crimes to oocupy their time and the Sponge Bob story has kept us laughing (unfortunately at them).
