Word going around the fire departments is that it was a cover up of a double murder.

Well ,I guess the rumors and grapevine is our best means of information here in Lewistown,Pa and our way of investigating the rumors is through the OPENLINE in the newspaper or Forums like this. This time again ,it appears the rumors were right.

Why is a double murder suspected or rumored? Lot of accidental trailer fires and takes awhile for an investigation to find out what caused it.

Read the Breaking news on the Lewistown Sentinel web site or Channel 8 news Wgal and then you will see there may be some truth to the rumors.

As I mentioned earlier, it was going around the fire departments and obviously the firefighters would have seen things first hand. Apparently the trailer was only burned in the bedroom area and it was very apparent arson. There was also a few other very obvious clues on site as well from what I've heard.

There were several articles in the Sentinel, but they don't appear online anymore. You can find plenty articles on the web - http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0geu_X6G...

Lewistown Resident - This appears to be much more than arson. It is being investigated as a double homicide. Read some of the articles in the search above.

Not sure what else you'll hear of this, but it is being investigated as a double homocide. From what I've heard, there was blunt head trauma on both victims and the fire was very apparently set in the bedroom area in an attempt to coverup the homocide.

Not sure who the suspect is, but the lady who died in this fire was still legally married and it was not to the guy she died with in the fire.

I've heard this too, but around this area you hear so many rumors.

From the obits in the paper, both victims had a lot of children, some grandchildren and very large families. I hope they catch the culprit. It's so sad to see two young people taken so early in life, especially by some horrible individual. I don't know how anybody can do something like this and continue walking around trying to lead a normal life. Sad.

Agreed, its a horrible thing to have to deal with and even more so over the holidays. My thoughts and prayers are with the families during this trying time and I sincerely hope the killer is brought to justice.

I heard they were both "legally" married, but neither on of them currently lived with their spouses. In Pennsylvania, isn't there is a stipulation that you have to seperated for at least 1 year before a divorce can be filed by either parties?

Your chances of staying alive diminishes? I think I could disagree on many levels with this. Nothing is worth ending somebody's life.

Sounds like some antiquated laws.

You are not dealing with a full deck to make such a statements Spouses are not ones cattle and this is not the wild west. You need to get out and about a bit more than you do.

What the heck? Can't disagree on that? You have something wrong with you Lewistown Resident AOL.

Infidelity happens A LOT more often than murders. That does not give anybody the right to kill somebody else. Tell that to the kids and family of the victims!

Boy, you are messed up!

If we're talking a sheer number game, I have to agree with Lewistown Resident on this one. I would have to imagine that sleeping with a married person would decrease your survival rate by some small percentage.

That said, infidelity is definitely not something worth ending anybody's life over. There are a few things that I could justify taking another human's life over, but infidelity is most definitely not one of them.

Boy, you guys are messed up.

Lewistown Resident said "I don't know, but I do know if you are sleeping with another persons spouse, your changes of staying alive diminishes.I don't think you can disagree on that."

That translates to me that you are implying if you sleep with somebody elses spouse your chances of being killed go up. With these adequated laws these days, you could be by law somebody's "spouse" for two years. Do you expect people to wait two years before moving on?
