Even though i didnt see ya much anymore you have been and always will be in my heart. My step grand children are just as important as my own childrens and just cause i left the family whole doesnt mean my love stops. I've had to keep up n watch over from a distance and watch everyones myspace so that i could still be a small part of the lives i grew to love over the 18yrs i was a part of it. My heart is shattered n torn as much as anyones. Rest in peace my grandson, i will always love you! R.I.P. Kevin, Jr

This is so tragic my heart goes out to the families. Sounds like Bucher needs to be put in jail for life, so she can feel the pain the family has to deal with. I think the family should also contact their lawyer right away. Again sorry for your loss.

I want to thank everyone for the support for my family. This is a very tragic time. My nephew is gone and nothing can bring him back.

I feel sorry for his family. My heart goes out to them. I'd be willing to bet a cellphone was being used at the time of the accident. That seems pretty common these days.

I agree this is a tragic loss and yes this person should be punished.......but killing someone is punishment enough and this will still not bring him back!

no its not going to bring him back but why should she get to walk around and be free. july 3rd she took away someones son,his lil girl has to grow up with no father, and she also took him away from his family& friends. she took him away from us cause she was reaching for her phone. a phone is not worth someones life.r.i.p woopy

each day just gets more and more hard for us knowing we wont see you or hear your voice again we love and miss you so much i just wish this was not true.

How about telling the motorcycle riders to SLOW DOWN! Everyday we all see these friggin nuts riding their bikes like maniacs and we say to ourselves they are gonna kill themselves !
Count the number of ties you actually see a motorcycle going the speed limit when they are not behind a car.
These idiots ride 80-110 miles per hour weaving in and out of traffic. All it takes is a little pot hole or snote in the road and they are DONE! It's sad for thir families, but these people commit unintentional suicide.

I am sick and tired of reading in the news about people recklessly taking others lives and not getting stiff punishment for it. Like the family explained she was reaching for her phone and I am willing to bet she was speeding! Dont even act like you know how this family or that child feels!!! The punishment is for them not you my friend.

Archie, I cannot speak for Mr. Heist, but I was good friends with Mike Sharkey, and I can assure you that speed was not a factor in this accident, and he was a very cautious rider. As in too many other cases, the other driver falied to see the bike and turned in front of him.
While some riders do ride dangerously, assuming that everybody does that, and then calling them names because of it is totally unfair. Your comments bother me personally, and I think you should consider who reads these pages before you post stuff like that.
A husband, father, and friend was killed through no fault of his own, and those who knew him will miss him greatly....

for all you negative people that wanna say oh she was reaching for her phone, or she should rot in hell or go to jail. do u realize that accidents really can be accidental she did not pull out in front of him or reach for her phone she was driving and sun was in her eyes and its a bad road there and the thing is that anyone that gets behind a wheel or on a bike takes the risk of having something happen unfortunately this one took the life of kevin and it is very sad.. but it also was a very heavily traveled weekend and that is a bad street to travel and this was the 2nd fatality in the area and with sun in your eyes, and metal coming out you things happen so quickly.. and she was going the speed limit and sharp turns out there it was a risky thing for both and I pray for both families..I pray that Kevins family will not do anymore to the buchers and also that the driver will be torn enough that she needed to walk away knowing there was a fatality not like she wanted to get up that day and kill someone Jesus!!!!!!!! there are things called accidents!!!!!!!!
