We need more fire hydrants. Better bulk water supplies. And top notch training to create more interior, professional, aggressive, firefighters. Better response times thanks to state of the art communications equipment. Most volunteer departments across the country get some tax assistance to provide better protection. 25.00-50.00 a year. It's worth it.
There are suburban and rural fire departments with such training and equipment. It's not just big cities.
Of course our governor does not believe we are worth the money and effort. But he's not worried about losing everything to a fire...well..IS HE?
..and the band played on..
