This is so sad. Another innocent person on a motorcycle killed perhaps by an accident that could have been avoided. What is the matter with auto drivers don't they care that they put the motorcycle rider's in danger. They act like it doesn't matter. This mont alone my husband was cut in fron of on 6 different occassions making him go off to the side of the road. Last evening on Mt. Zion he was cut in front of by a woman in a blue car that cut through 3 lanes disregarding the cars she was cutting of as she passed in front of them and all but causing an accident for my husband on his bike. Her response was the middle finger. How sick and selfish are some people they have no regard for another's life. My husband drives responsibly and with care.
My sympathy to the officer's family. He was a good person and now his family and community will be without this special person's his kindness and caring.

Mike, Kim & family, we were devastated to hear about Mike. We're sorry that we never got to know him; he sounds like a wonderful man, which is no surprise being your son. You are in our hearts and our prayers. Uncle Bill notified us. If there's anything we can do, or anyone you need us to contact, please call.

I met him through my mother and my special needs brother Danny. One night Michael came into Rocco's pizza where my family had all gathered. This was around Christmas. As soon as he came in my brother got up from the table and just hugged him to death. Danny said to Michael, "Is that for me?" Michael said yes. Danny's eyes filled with tears and was filled with joy! Apparently Michael spoke to my parents when he would see them, and my parents told me how nice of a gentleman he was. They also told me how fond he was of my brother danny and how much Danny loved him. Oh boy and Danny would go on and on about him.
Here around Christmas Michael had went out and bought Danny a new sweater for Christmas. From that night on I thought what a amazing and nice thing to do for someone out of the blue. Shows what kind of heart this man had. Danny has seen on the news but doesn't really I think get it quite yet, but we have explained and Danny will surely miss him.
Thank you because you truly made a difference just in that one day for the rest of his life.

My heart felt prayers go out to all of Mike's family as my step grandson sat and wept from the pit of his stomach today when his Mother told him that the gentle giant of a man is gone. He always had a smile and word of encouragement for my grandson. He has meant so much to all he came in contact with. What a tribute to leave in this world. May God wrap his arms around the family and friends and uphold and give them strength to get thru this.

I work for the Harford County's Sheriffs office in Maryland and saw on our cad system that one of our deputies was on detail to Ofc Weigands funeral. I pulled up the article and read about the accident. I would like to extend my sympathy to his family for their tragic loss. As a member of a law enforcement agency we do grieve inside when another member is hurt or dies no matter what state it occurs in. With profund sadness. Jim
