So Grantville has given the ok to make a movie in Grantville that uses "living in a world that unfairly discriminates against those of limited intelligence, judgment, and ability," the movie production company states on its Facebook page. " as a description of the storyline...and described it as a "whitetrash farce"...or something like that. Is anyone else OFFENDED?????

Needless to say I am. Using police officers in the movie? Pretty sure it will be in a "let's make fun of small town police"-type movie making. What a way to remove what respect they have to fight for already in their profession....What are you people thinking????? Are we that desperate for money that we sell ourselves for trash movie productions????

The movie "Panama City" was not actually filmed in "Grantville" It was filmed just outside of Grantville, along with locations in Atlanta, and Panama City. The production company is based out of Atlanta, and figured it would be more cost affective to film most of the movie local.. The Directors liked the look of the Grantville Police cars, and asked to utilize a few cars, and Officers. In no way shape or fashion did the movie belittle the Police. You people just need to find a life, and quit thinking negative about everyhing...

The movie is a comedy, and if you can enjoy life without humor then go ahead.. But most of the world likes to smile, and laugh a little bit.. GROW UP..

Oh shut up. I don't need to grow up if I have an opinion. I do hope the movie has some class to it and doesn't demean folks as the description sounded. That would be best.

well Newnan, Maybe you do need to grow up and keep your opinion to yourself.. No one else wants to hear it... Are you that desperate that you have to talk bad about things that you obviously know nothing about.. EDUCATE YOURSELF A LITTLE BEFORE YOU MAKE MORE OF A FOOL OF YOURSELF..

PEACEMAKER,

you'd be surprised at how educated I am about the situation....and how close I am to it. I still have a big problem with b-rated movies that make fun of folks. don't like it, never did. this is a public forum...and you don't have the floor to yourself...I can post any opinion on here I choose...as can you. Sharing one's opinion doesn't have anything to do with making a fool of yourself. You don't like my thoughts on the movie...fine..then we agree to disagree. Therefore, this is not making a fool of myself. As far as "no one wants to hear it" at this point, that's just your opinion. Again, this is a public forum.

Evidently, you need to educate yourself on the issue. It's irritated you to the point you have to post the last line of your note in all caps.

As I said...I'm close enough and educated well enough to know the situation. nuff said. ;)

The setting of the movie is the panhandle of Florida. There are some unsavory characters in this movie. However, the story is about redemption and a good-hearted woman who is trying to get her boyfriend to grow into the man she envisions.

The police in the movie are portrayed as professional law enforcement taking down criminals.
