Thats great I really do hope that this money is used for the kids and not to hire teachers and counselors that spend their time on the computer and neglect the kids,Use it to educate our next generation instead of lining the pockets of the staff

Ugh, Poco Loco. While classrooms all over the nation are getting much larger, the Bell kids are getting one that is much smaller. You should rejoice in the money going to hire the extra staff needed to accomplish this. Research shows that class size is one of the most important factors that affect learning in schools. I'm not sure what teachers you know but the ones I know around here do their job, plus that of many of the lazy parents in our community.

I must agree with you on the lazy parent's that are more concerned on themselves than being a educater at home, it does not take but an hour or two in the evening's to sit down with your kids and help them to read or write and do their homework..us as a society have now believed that if we go out and all get jobs with better pay our kids will be better off thus leaving them to come back from school to an empty home and having TV take the place of our children in educating them. Now as for money well spent , you as well as I know that most of the money will be spent by the Admin.

Look beyond the headline and see why this school "qualifies" for an improvement grant.

Here is a site that shows why they got the grant.

Out of 391 schools they rank 375. Columbus ranks 377 but they got their money last year. If we are able to continue to do a poor job we will continue to get money.
