It was mistake made by a younger and inexperienced rider. I have ridden for 30+ years and the loss of anyone of my "brothers" and "sisters" who ride always affects me.

First off, my thoughts and prayers go out to the family for sure. This is a very sad accident and tough lesson to learn.

Second, what does it matter if tomorrow is Mother's Day?? No matter what day of the year it is, a death of a child will NEVER be easy. We should never out-live our children.

This is very sad. Please remember to pray for the tractor operator and his family as well.

Let's all take it easy, slow down and be safe out there for other drivers and our passengers too.

Very sad to say the least, ride in the wind bro. Prayers to all involved. PLease people these sport bikes are very dangerous, A drunk made a left hand turn in front of my son and luckily for him he was able to lay it down and walk away, I thank God everday he was killed, my son never got back on one of those crotch rockets again. If your son or daughter even mentions one of these sport bikes do everything withnin your power to keep them away from them,(including destroying it yourself) the main purpose of these bikes are intended to be driven fast but not on public highways, they're designed for track racing with proper attire and the skills adn knowledge.

It was not a mistake by the younger driver. With the road like that, it sounds like it could have happened to any age.

"There's just enough of a dip that if you're on a bike you can't see anyone that's on this side of the road," says Hackbardt. "So my grandpa said that he thought he could turn, so he turned in, then all of the sudden two seconds later there Matt is."

It's such a tragic loss. I know someone who is friends with him and she's so sad. May his family and friends find strength during this time.

I graduated also with Matt, and as Levi said I was never best friends with him either but he was the kind of guy who has friends with everyone, it didn't matter what you had or didn't have Matt liked everyone. You'll be missed greatly.

Please keep his girlfriend in your prayers,

My prayers go out to "Grandpa". This was not his fault and I hope he never questions that. What heartache. I'm sure this is a very tough time for him and I pray God is with him and his family.

I pray for Matt's family as well.
