I will take up to the minute weather forecasts with an occasional error over crappy storm coverage with perfect grammar any day.

Some of us are thankful for the good coverage and updates…

So they say that a tornado sounds like a train coming. Well, I live down by the railroad tracks. How will I be able to tell the difference between the 5:00 train and a tornado?

The one that rips the roof off your house is a tornado...the one with Southern on the side is a train. :)

I was in the middle of the 1994 Lexington Tornado....I did not hear a train....it sounded like thousands of machine guns going off....also like the "southern comment"

Brooks Garner is a WHOLE lot better than anyone of those fake newsies at 'LTX. Have you ever noticed how JR Barry and Jim Gandy use that FAKE newsvoice?? It's like they're entoning... It's like listening to the anchor on the Simpsons...

Brooks Garner is real... he talks to you... sort of like everyone at WIS does... it's funny... a totally new caliber of newscasters over at 10. At WIS, I feel like I know them -- like they're family. At WLTX, while I'm sure theyre all nice people, I feel like they're "playing" news, aspiring to be "real"... I met Brooks when he visited our school...(I'm a teacher) and he's a really nice guy. What you see is really what you get. The guy's genuine.

SC - Aiken County News
It has been disclosed that the 13 year old alleged victim who accused Ex-Councilman Russ Ferrara of inappropriate touching was undergoing sexual abuse counseling at the time of the alleged incident and had previously accused at least two other men of sexual abuse: one being her father. Earlier the alleged victim claimed that her father would enter her bedroom each morning at dawn and sexually assault her. Authorities were aware of these allegations which were much more severe than the allegation lodged against the Ex-Councilman, but elected not to arrest the alleged victim's father. Authorities were also aware of the family's attempt to obtain money from the Ex-Councilman to assist in release of the alleged victim's sister from the Aiken County Detention Center.
The judge who placed the Ex-Councilman on house arrest was arrested for sexual misconduct and has recently resigned from office. Judge Jack Early ordered the councilman be taken off house arrest.

My son said when searching for a new job, after losing a job.(because he, supposebly, messed up)."Guess I'll get a job as a weather man, because they can mess up and keep their jobs". That was several years ago and we still laugh about it. By the way, he's not Brook Garner, and he's not a weather man !

we knew that the Ex-Councilman was innocent of these allegations. He was one of the best representatives we had on the Aiken County Council and was always very responsive to our needs. This was just a political setup, attempt to get money, and ruin his political reputation.

Some poor uninformed soul named Rainman thinks Brooks Garner is a fake. Well, having been around for more than 72 years and in the broadcasting business for over 50 years I know "fake" and Brooks Garner is the real deal. All the charm, zest, appearance, weather expertise you see is for real and coming from a young man of extreme intelligence who has a passion not only for weather but the arts, with degrees in both. He is a recognized meteorologist who brings enormous skill to the WIS weather team! He is a delightful individual I hope rainman and all others have an opportunity to meet and know. Check out his bio on wistv.com and be impressed. Joe "Knozit" Pinner

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Sagittarius

A loved one gets hold of the wrong end of the stick today, causing endless hassle and fuss. They're likely to get upset in the process, so you have to calm them down, and that could lead to a squabble. You may also have to cope with discord when discussing family matters, with certain people getting bogged down in daft details that you think have nothing to do with the main issue.
