This was my bestfriend. We have known each other since i was two. Wr have been through thick and thin together. Her and her boyfriend got into a fight, he walked away from him and she followed him trying to stop him. From what ive heard the man that had hit them was drunk two times over the limit. The bad thing is she was 18 and 5 months pregnant. i lost all three of them. i am extreamly sad but i know shes happy and shes watching over me and i will always love her and she is still my bestfriend.

Yes i hope you do find peace as this is a VERY sad situation for both the family of Mary and Jermiah..... Unforturnatly i happen to know the guy who did this. Not sure how this boy turned out the way he did he came from a very good home with a very nice mom she is a nurse and is the last i heard raising Shauns Children. Do not think i am sticking up for this man in any way, He DESERVES to be where he is at i hope he stays there for life i am so sorry that this was what it took t get him behind bars...... also i was listening to the police scanner when this happened and from the way it sounded was that he was not in his own car and there was people with him in the vehicle ARE OWNERS OF THE VEHICLE GOING TO BE CHARGED ALSO DIDNT THEY HAND HIM A LOADED GUN AKA TRUCK...... ALSO SHAUN WHY DID YOU GO TO THE STORE WHAT DID YOU DITCH ALONG MISSOURI AVENUE THAT US CITIZENS OF GRANITE NEED TO BE WATCHN OUR KIDS FOR? I REALLY HOPE GRANITE CITY PD TOOK THE TIME TO SEARCH THE ROAD FROM THE STORE TO THE SCENE....... SORRY AGAIN FOR YOUR LOSES

This just sickens me. The man that was killed was my sons father. His son is only 8 years old, and he was a father to my oldest son that is 11. However, the last time my boys got to see him they where 5, and 8. They will never get to really know who he was or get a chance to know him. I hope the driver gets life for what he has done. Not only did he take the lives of three that night, he took more lives with the horrible act. Now, I have to be the one to tell the boys that he is gone. I believe that IL. should have the same law as they do in Michigan, and that is if you kill someone and you where under the influence of the time of the incedent not only do you go to prison, but if they do let you out of prison you will never be able to drive again. My sweet Jace I hope your at peace. I just dont know how to tell our boys. Help me find my peace to be able to tell them. You will be in our hearts forever.

This also sickens me. I used to work with Jace and his sister Kelly. Jace was always happy and joking with us and if he saw you were down he would be there to cheer you up.I really hope this drunk driver never sees the outside of prison the rest of his life. I agree with Alton about if they get out they should never be allowed to drive ever again. Unfortanatly not haveing a lic to drive will not stop them from driveing nor drinking and driving the state says they are cracking down on dui and making stiffer penalties but then the driver who gets a dui gets off or pleas bargin down to a lighter sentence so who good are the laws if they are not enforced to the max? J C buddy rest in peace and to his girlfriend I hope you also rest in peace to Kelly and Mary's family may GODS GRACE help you through the days ahead while you cope with your loses. Knowing JC personely I know all who knew and loved him will miss him greatly
