There is no boil order. And it is because the river is low, I've been drinking bottled water bcuz even when you filter it it's still gross.

The news said that if you refrigerate it for an hour the smell will go away.

Good to know about refrigerating it. I work at a gas station too bad it effects the taste of our fountian sodas and there is nothing we can do about that :(

The water has been gross for about 5 years when something changed. It's grosser than usual now but for drinking I've been buying bottled for a long time. Don't drink the water.

I tested our water (granite city) with an ammonia test for my fish tank, the normal water was at 3 times mire ammonia then is permitted, I brought this to the water company and they will "look into it"

i have a feeling that there is something in the water that is harming us but the water company is covering it up. The smell/taste to me seems like some sort of algae.

Yep they say its coming from farther out in the river causing the smell/taste. Hasn't anyone thought to test for bacteria or algae in that part of the freaking river come on!!! I'm done drinking the water anyway after I read on the water company's website that RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL is allowed to.be in our water as long as its under a certain percentage are you kidding me!!!!

can't really blame them for that because the dakotas and montana are saying that would take there water from them next summer. alot of senators are involved but it's not over drinking water. here it's about barge traffic. up there it's about drinking water and irregation for crops and live stock. i drank a soda from mcdonalds last week and was sick all night. i thought someone was messing with me until the next morning i got one from a gas station that was just as bad.

Time for states along the Mississippi to mobilize their national guards and march up there and blow those fecking dams. Feck those little peckerwoods in the Northern Plains. We will kill you for your water.

That's been going on for decades. This is recent. New. Tastes like dirt.
