Yes, I go to Granite Bay also but live in Colfax. They hope to be in by the years end, but that will be a challenge. The space is not yet built out. The format is a bit different, but they hope be as hip as Granite bay.

That would be really funny if it wasn't true...

I guess you guys didn't listen very well at the beginning of the offering, where they say every time "
This offering is only for those who call Bayside their home and give to support its ministries. If you are visiting, you are our guest, we don't want your money so put your American
Express card back in your wallet". That is what Bayside Church says, God is the one who calls us to tithe and to give to others!

I have attended this church a couple of times by my sister's invitation. Basically you can't think of bayside church as a church really, it's more of a self help guru meeting place with various help programs for sex addicts, and alcoholics. Which seems like a positive thing at first but it does give you an idea of the kind of attendees it attracts, "mostly people struggling with addictions". Now this is not really a bad thing everyone needs some help sometimes. But my issue is with the way their Pastor spends a majority of the time telling people they need to give 10% of their income and he goes to great lengths talking about this. Ray Johnston their Pastor is in fact not even a registered minister, he's a a self proclaimed self help guru/ ceo of bayside llc. so case in short I believe he's making an awfully good living off of peoples donations, "so i think some attendee's need to ask themselves before donating money what kind of house/car does Ray Johnston have?" not to mention all the "Pastors" he's hired in at his attendees expense. To make my point it only takes one priest and a couple of volunteer's to run a huge catholic church, but Bayside seems to have 10-15 pastors all on payroll interesting huh! They are really a branch of the Evangelical's, and the whole ceremony seems like a cheesy christian rock concert, complete with strobes and other lighting effects, and the music was awful I'm not trying to be mean but there is some christian rock I like, but this stuff was just plain awful I mean worse than Creed terrible if you need to catch my drift. Just remember this is the cousin church of Ted Haggard, actually some of the church's Pastor's are from Haggard's church, and we all now that story so attendee's and donor's beware!

Wow! A lot of hateful comments here. Did you pray before you wrote? I am not a Bayside person, but you might be careful how you , in public, admonish and degrade your brothers.

Yes, these really are my initials!
I think it's to call it the way it REALLY is:
Ok I must say this like Jay Leno says "Shuuuuuut Up"!
Nobody is forcing you to give to the church. The tithe isn't about what is done with the money...it's about personal discipline between you and God! You decide what to give or not to give. When you are obediant to God's word...you will be blessed. Don't want to be blessed? Don't follow God's word...it's really that simple!
So typical, blame the church and their "greedy" ways so you can have an excuse for lving a sub-standard life!
Want to know where the money goes....join the ministry, become the church accountant?, commit your time! Don't be critical, then sit on your hands and let everyone else carry the heavy load!
Are you the same cry-babies who vow to fight for Jesus when he returns? So many whiners...so little time!! Boo Hoo!!
Love God and follow his word. Stop trying to put a spin on everything!
And the individual who made the comments regarding the drug addicts and alcoholics....
" Let him who is without sin cast the first stone"
Ouch....... that hurt!
God Bless!
