I was just informed that Samuel Freeman will remain in prison for the convicted murderer of Miss Laura Wynn. He was convicted in 2006 of the death of Miss Wynn and was given the sentence of Life in Prison without the possibility of parole. Then he appealed the case and the conviction was overturned last year, but thur the help of Mr Daniel Mcpherson Assistant Attorney General he arugued the case and it was sent to the Southern District Court of Appeals and today a decision was made in that Supreme Court that the finding in 2006 will be upheld and Mr Freeman will remain in prison for the rest of his life. Being one of the jurors on this case, I have been watching the outcome and was overcome with excitement when I heard he will remain in prison. Maybe now finally the Wynn Family can start to heal once again. Most imporatantly Laura can rest in Peace to know that her murderer will not get off for this terrible crime against her. My prayers will be and have been witht he Wynn family from the start of this case to now and will continue to be in my prayers.

I think if you googled it you could probably get the info. The murder/trial was featured on forensic files earlier this year. I don't feel comfortable posting details on this site. It might be too painful for family members to read. And let me add that I am very happy for Laura's family. I hope this gives them some closure but I'm sure it won't take all the pain away.

It is now June 2011 and I heard from somewhere on the internet that he had two attorneys that I am familiar with whom I hate appeal his case and he won and is now a free man. Just wondering if this is true. I never worked with Laura Wynn but worked in the same VA pharmacy in Poplar Bluff, MO and knew her co-workers who really liked her alot. So sad from this whole outcome of this situation.

The last I heard, it was all over, and he was in jail for life!

Now, if anything different has taken place, the family would have known about it. Nothing has changed that I know of. However, lawyers are like hookers, you can buy them with any given amount of money, so nothing would surprise me.

Sammy, are you enjoying that cozy comfy cellmate?

Well regardless if he got off or not, like the saying goes, what comes around, goes around. So everyone on Laura Wynn and her families side. Dont worry, you reap what you sew, as the saying goes. Justice prevails no matter what. If that helps the family of Laura Wynn. I feel she is in eteranl peace in heaven. God bless her family.

To the Grim Reaper, I just read an article online about six months ago that two Poplar Bluff attorneys, whom I despise, made him innocent and was free because the DNA would have been one in a million or something like that due to such a large frame of time to prove the DNA.

I hope he is still in jail forever until he dies,as he killed an innocent and a person with a challenge she had to deal with forever. So I feel the same way, Grim Reaper. I hope he spends the rest of his life in jail with other jailmates that do not take too well with killing innocent a descemt woman who was from what I heard by far a sweet and caring woman. Thanks for your input.

I know, I did research after this and found out he is in jail for a life sentence. I feel so much better about this. He deserves it. I worked in the same VA pharmacy that Laura Wynn worked at and knew her close friends and when I saw her Aunt come into the pharmacy. I asked who is that woman. And they told me that they are reopening up the Laura Wynn Case. I thought, how great. But was skepical about it. But when I was sitting with my father sometime in 2008 while watching Forensic Files and the segment on Laura Wynn was shown on National TV, I was estastic about the outcome of this horrific crime. I knew her close friends and family were beyond happy with this outcome. I wish I was still working in the pharmacy when this happeneded. I know it was a triumphic day for all those who loved her. Especially one specific person whom I worked with. She was so close to her. I wish I was there. Well, from my lastest reesearch on him he is still serving a life sentence in a Jail located close to St. Louis, where he belongs. I really hope this helps her family and friends that loved her so much as a family member, friend and co worker. I heard she was a very sweet person and from the close friend I worked with, I knew she had to be that to be so very true. Rest in peace, Laura Wynn. Justice has been served on your behalf.

I might have gotten the last few comments mixed up. I am not sure if the Grim Reaper is family but if he is that is good, if not sorry from the mix up from the family member from Branson, Missouri. Well anyways family always know what is right and it is great for you and all who loved Laura Wynn and that Justice has finally been served. Its just too bad he had that much freedom while robbing Laura Wynn of her life she still had so much to live. I am very sensitive about things like this, so I hope he stays in Jail until he is deseased, as that is what he deserved, as far as I am concerned. I just believe in Justice and fairness to such innocent victims, like Laura Wynn. I wish I knew her and worked with her. Just my thoughts on this. And thank you to all who reopened up this case and pursued it to the end. Especially, Captain Morris, he is a unsung hero in this case. I knew your daughter and granddaughter. We went to six flags together and my daughter was in the same class in Kindergarden and second grade and your Granddaughter. And saw you several times at your granddaughters school events. Captain Morris, I was friends with your daughter for quite a while. So thank you so much for what you did. I am quite admired and grateful for no giving up.

I am Samuel Freeman's daughter and I really don't think that some of these comments are necessary. I understand that everyone is entitled to their opinion however I don't believe it is appropriate for anyone to talk about him dying in prison. And as far as the Forensic Files show I watched it and I can tell everyone one that that show was one sided and so off from the correct and right details of his life and was supposedly happened that it was offensive. Now I will say that my father was and is a good man and I know that he did not committed the horrible crime he is accused of. I would also like to say that I feel for the family of Laura and I hope that one day the correct person is punished for what happened.
