Brillant.....what a great way to get rid of him without trying to fire him. He must be full of himself to think he will get the CM job one open. Better look elsewhere Steven. U fell for the city councils trick...ha,ha,ha...

Redlands would save almost 3ook a year if they followed suit and got rid of the city manager! Then next all we have to do is vote the cc out and soon all the corrupt heads of the city will be gone! Strange that the pay for a cm in Redlnds is almost twice as high for Grand Terrace. all Redlands cm does is fill his pockets with raises while feigning the need for cuts to public safety as he discredits the city gate report for an older, erroneous one that covers the truth about the desperate need to increase public safety rather than decrease it. Cm hires consultant after consultant to do the job he was hired to do all while failing to report his rental income of 3k a month by the man connected with his special interest business relationship with Pharoh's associated Aryana. very strange redlands. Time to wake up and smell the rot right under your nose! Removing the cm position is in the best interest of Redlands citizens who can then remove the ignorant, corrupt city council! GREAT IDEA!!!

typo: Redlands [cm pay] is almost twice as high as Grand Terrace. Why hire consultants if you are going to through their recent report out to use an erroneous one: to support the BS fed to the people to cover up the past failures to handle the people's money! Shame shame redlands cc and cm!

We have been asking the council to eliminate that position for over five years! But the council was more interested in protecting Steve Berry the criminal who embezzled and falsified documents and still shows up to work every day--why not the council loves a bad boy. Steve has no shame, but hey- the council feels left out and wants their own corruption story on the daily papers. Ask the council about Steve and the ladies will trip over each other telling you what a sweet man Steve is- they will protect him if it cost them their seats- oh yeah kiss your seats good-by- the council and mayor are just as dirty for protecting the bum- only in the backwards town of grand Terrace- good going mayor and good bye. The city looks like a bomb was dropped- what a looser council and City Manager.

Not only in Grand Terrace, the same corrution has occurred in Redlands thank to our cc, cm, the mayor, and his blue ribbon committee. It's going to take a lot of ammends for them to correct the damage they have done to this city. Thanks for the info.

I am sorry watchdog because the acting cm knows he has the job -- one council member has promised him he will not lose his job along with another and one more that says he doesn't want him to lose his job. So, you see the three vote again. Our hope is that a couple of the department heads at Grand Terrace will apply because they have the smarts that the ACM does not. Maybe the council would take notice. Also, why are the headlines different in what goes to the homes and what is on-line. At home we see "Grand Terrace zaps assistant manager post to aid budget" and on-line we see "Grand Terrace may eliminate City Manager post."

I sure hope he loses his job. This is one of the worst men I have seen in our local government. He only cares about himself and it's evident. I imagine he walks around City Hall with a whip. He needs to go back where he belongs- the trash business because he's simply garbage! Take Bea, LeAnn, & Walt with you.

Jesus - all these worthless, but expensive City Managers! Add Moreno Valley's to the list as well (especially when you add in the Deputy City Manager, Assistant City Manager and Assistant to the City Manager!).

I have seen this man in action at Council Meetings and he is nothing but a self serving, self promoting former trash man. I mean literally and figuratively, as others have noted. Mr. and Mrs. John Q. public do not be fooled by this man. I am confident you will see through the smoke, mirrors and hogwash. Unlike how he has fooled the brain challenged members on our City Council.

He makes it sound like he is ever knowing and so for the citizen good by cutting government.
There is no other choice in cutting positions. How difficult is it to cut a vacant position, since he is now acting CM. To top it off, he is already delegating all of duties anyway.

Anyone want to bet me that he he will ask for his job back as Assistant City Manager if he does not get the City Manager job?

I understand from staff that he was able to cut $800,000 out of the budget by first putting in a $1 Million dollars of additions to the budget and then realizing he could not pay for it, so he cut $812,000 of what he originaly put in, including COLA's for himself and his overpaid staff!!!!

His claim to glory is a $5 shopping coupon that is being sent around the town that is being paid for out of the General Fund. That's the extent of his resume and he thinks he is brilliant because of a shopping coupon.
