The issue seems to be last names:

Bride was named Kimberly Cain Michael.

Her parents were listed as Jeffrey and Beverly Cain.

Groom was named Michael Robert Burleson.

Where did the bride's name Michael come from?

Was there a divorce there involving the Cains?

Or is it just a RFD mistake?

I agree with 'who cares,' it just doesn't seem news worthy. Also, it's true that there is over a 50% divorce rate, so I don't think it's being bitter, just factual. Good luck!

Hi. I agree with your "not news worthy". But, it wasnt in the "news" it was in the local Home Town section so that my friends who werent able to be at the wedding could see the announcement and as a keepsake for us. And, yes, divorce rate is 50% but that doesnt make it a "who cares" situation, as it does matter that two people that have had a lot of lifes difficulties to overcome are strong enough to work hard a marriage that does come with such a statistical challenge.

Also, the name MICHAEL came from my previous marriage. My maiden name is Cain, hence it being my middle name now.=}

Also, a second marriage has a greater chance of failing that a first
marriage, good luck (you'll need it)!

Yes, thank you again for mentioning that second marriage have a greater failure rate.... I hadnt heard that before.. Oh wait. Only every other comment on here. Seriously. Who cares what you think, and if you dont have anything nice or encouraging to say why would you say anything at all. Its like someone has a baby, and you say "The world is over populated, who cares about your blessing". Let the couple be happy and share their excitement with THOSE THAT CARE ABOUT THEM.
