Judged: 1 1 1 Steelie, if you actually care about our environment, more than just our politics....you might want to take a look at the fracking(drilling) going on across this country...including on Bureau of Land Management lands, owned by you and i and all US ctitzens....but, opened up to big oil, by Bush/Cheney.....Fracking has been proven to poison fresh groundwater and ruin people's wells, nationwide.....Seek out the documentary, Gasland...on HBO and youtube, if you doubt my words here.....i care not for the politics of this, only that it stop..... |

Judged: 1 1 1 Good Day, Fracking I believe has been around since the 1860s. Also, fracking is not used just for oil, but for natural gas, and get this... water wells. Other than perhaps a few "shallow" fracking operations, most occur at 5,000 to 20,000 feet in depth, hardly enough to effect general ground water needs. This is not to say there may be a few examples of "bad fracking", but when we look at so called green energy, we see much more toxic and dangerous chemicals and circumstances. How about those so called "green" curly cue light bulbs and their mercury content? The incredibly toxic chemicals needed to make a solar panel? Wind turbines that kill birds. Etc... Again the primary point of the story... the man who promised to create jobs is doing the opposite. Steelie |

Steelie; even I know that when ANY politician says they are going to create jobs it's a sell job to the ignorant electorate. The President of the United States does not have the power to create jobs. Not anywhere in the Constitution. Obama even said it in the Hempstead, NY Town Hall debate, "government does not create jobs". And in the fashion government does "create" jobs that means government employment and that means taxes (gasp) that no one on the right agrees to. The other way government "creates jobs" is by improving the infrastructure. Again, gasp, taxes. And when the government pushes for "green energy" like those CFLs (I hate em) who comes up with the technology and manufactures it? The private sector businesses. I must have missed where the government required the private sector to use mercury to make those CFLs. Face up to the reality that it's the private sector that creates most of the jobs and they are NOT going to "create" them without the demand to meet the profit requirements. |

Gasland has been debunked...... EPA tested all waters that had complaints and found all safe...... Frack Nation did a great job and the director of the film also tried to speak to the director of Gasland and Gasland guy will not speak to him about the claims...... |

Good Day, Hey SIB! Maybe I am using the wrong term by using the word "create". But a president absolutely positively can have an effect on the job market. Hence this story, along with the job losses across the energy sector (mining and coal plants come to mind) via the policies both he and his EPA have set forth. Likewise, look at what Reagan did. His policies created millions of jobs. I don't have the article right in front of me, but the recent slump in the economy has been blamed on the cuts to defense spending. Etc. Steelie |
Okay. Then under that criteria we can say W. Bush was responsible for the massive job hemorrhaging during his terms as president. Which makes Obama somewhat of a job "creator" because more jobs have been "created" during his first 4 years than during Bush. Reagan? Here's just a couple of what I have for him. You just might be interested. And maybe a little humbled ;o http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/money/economy/... http://money.cnn.com/2010/09/08/news/economy/... |

Judged: 1 1 1 Good Day, Hey SIB! Did you know... under Bush II we had 52 straight months of growth? The housing crash (which obviously effected the entire economy) was for the most part created by the CRA. Also, no other president/administration saw as much job growth as occurred with Reagan and wait... Clinton. yes I said Clinton (according to BLS data). Steelie |

Well, one thing is for sure and that is that we are going to have to drill like mad here in the states once the Mid-East war begins. It's not far off either. We'll see how big and bad the EPA really is as they receive the lion's share of the blame when the lights go out and gas prices hit $6/gal.
Yup, government jobs since everyone knows the government doesn't create private sector jobs. The economy is contracting again and this time, Obama has no one to blame but himself. |
Obama's Fry Master Jobs and other similar pay levels.... |
Yes, and it's explained why in those lengths. All one has to do is connect the dots by reading. It's not that difficult. |
And did you not bother to catch why? Because the government has cut back on spending. Ya know, that thing all the right-wing has been wanting done. Well you got it. Now you're gripping again? "The biggest factors driving the contraction were a big drop in defense spending, which as The Washington Post explains is most likely related to the Defense Department preparing for the large cuts to its budget which were supposed to go into effect January 1, but have been postponed for a couple months as part of the fiscal cliff deal.(This should also provide an object lesson in the effects of government spending cuts on near-term GDP growth.) The other main factor dragging down the headline number was a decline in business inventories, which is likely just a reaction to firms working off inventory buildups from the previous two quarters." http://business.time.com/2013/01/30/why-today... Seriously make up your mind which way you want it. |

What I want and other thinking Americans want is for the media to be forthcoming and honest instead of making excuses for Obama and his policies. We also want our fellow Americans to think about how his policies are hurting the entire country. Will we get that? Nope, because the media and people like you don't truly care that his policies are driving this country into bankruptcy. He will be happy and so will you and others if this country resembles Greece. It will make me and others sad, but at least those that think they are the majority will be happy. |
YOU want honesty? YOU? Now that is tragically funny. You wouldn't recognize honesty when you see it. You don't have the right to expect honesty and integrity from others when you don't have any yourself. |
