<quoted text>Then I suggest you pressure your representatives to vote for tax increases. However, perhaps it would be a good idea to get your Senators to do something besides sit on their duffs and collect their salaries? Since it has been 954 days now since the Senate passed anything meaningful and last we looked, it takes both houses to pass bills for signatures? Maybe if you asked really, really nice, like you do to us, Harry Reid might do something? I doubt it, he gets a lot of his campaign funds from unions and their leadership encourages sitting on your duff and collecting a paycheck and nothing more.
Blue probably does not know who the Senators are for Michigan since she has gone star struck with the O...... Hey Blue, that would be Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow...... Both lousy Senators for West Mich......

First off Nick Hanauer has a philosophy degree and inherited his fortune.
His philosophy is that customers create jobs, however since he never had to work for his money he has never figured out that someone has to have cash to start a business before they ever have customers. And not everyone inherits companies with 350 million a year in profits has the cash and no concern about how that cash was generated in the first place.
Last time I checked people with no money to pay wages aren't hiring.
And as usual you leave out the rest of his bio for your convenience of disinformation.

Then maybe you should have checked into when there are no customers to afford the products and/or services there is no money to pay wages and businesses fail. You're still stuck in the trickle down theory.

I think the Air Force still has a base there, but that isn't the point. Your partner BatchyBoi thinks that the US doesn't have the constitutional right to own any land.

As he refuses to do so, think about that.....

The federal government can't own any military installations, can't own the ground under the interstate highway system, can't maintain unique properties such as Yellowstone, shouldn't even have any land in which to place federal buildings (like the White House), and best of all..... Can't own the property where we lay to rest the soldiers who have fallen in battle!

And people wonder why some of look upon patriots such as BatchyBoi as just another clueless drone that can't think outside of the tiny little box that Glenn Beck wants him in.

Excuse me Boi, but you are the one that lives in the fantasy land where everything that exists must be in the constitution.........

What Article is that?

In the meantime, could you please tell everybody west of the Mississippi River that they are really part of Frog Land. The U.S. wasn't allowed to purchase all that land from the French.

And try to break the news to Sarah a little easier...... Not only can she see Russia from her house, she's IN Russia!

I would strongly suggest that he (Bob) not.

The acquisition of land(s) by the Federal Government is based in the Constitution. However when you are looking to place fault for those acquisitions you would be best off looking at the individual state legislatures for their culpability in it. Instead you are so bent on faulting the Federal Government for everything.

But then you have no interest in knowing the details of the legalities and processes. Just wanting to have enough information fed to you so you can continue your combative agitations.

While you know of the founding fathers debating the "evils" of government you fail to realize the same "evils" being available to the individual state governments...not restricted to only the federal government.

Our system was set up on one of checks and balances where you perceive checks and balances to be restricted to which political philosophy is to be in power.

So instead of only challenging others to prove to you where they are the one(s) right, why don't you try providing the information on why you are the one that is right. It would be an interesting change.

See above. You are assuming a lot in what my view is. I know about the State's role in this too. State needs money and Feds give it.... Still the people's land to use.....

Do you REALLY want to compare the obstinance of the Senate democrats...to the absolute treachery of the House republicans?

It's actually not so simple as that but okay I won't argue with you.

I will say though that the states (also) drop the ball when private owners sell or bequeath their properties to the Federal Government and then wail and moan over loss of sovereignty.

The Federal government CAN own land. I never argued that. Technically though, we own it as well because the Fed Gov is our employee through the electoral process.

Seem's quite universally understood nationally, that the main blockage of government in the Congress has been House republicans, perhap's only a small area within Grand Rapids has'nt gotten the drift. Why on earth, do you suppose John Boehner is in the news, everyday?.....Actually a "real" hypocrite...would be a republican that fails to acknowledge the current civil war, within the party between the tea party faction and the GOP establishment....any thoughts?
