Boy, I am certainly glad these whiny progressives were not in charge after WWII. The reconstruction that was done would never have happened because they would have stomped their feet. Oh wait, perhaps not if a Democrat was in charge because the Democrats are perfect and NEVER overspend or ignore the Constitution. Ooops, must be Obama isn't a Democrat? I repeat. Where's the outrage? We're not talking about post WW2 reconstruction here. We're talking about Iraq and Afghanistan. In the case of Iraq, it was a full scale U.S. lead invasion and the justification by Bush and his neo-cons was that Iraq had amassed huge stockpiles of WMD and was planning to develop a nuclear arsenal to be used against the U.S. Remember that Really? And what was determined in the months and years after we invaded that country and destroyed much of it with respect to the WMD and Sadamm Hussein's nuclear weapon capabilities?

Drone strikes are legal? Remember the hours after 9/11 when there were questions and debate as to whether or not military aircraft had been alerted and dispatched to intercept the aircraft that slammed into the Pentagon, the Towers, and the field in Penn? Recall how everyone wished there were procedures in place in the event such an act would occur in the future? Remember when many people were clamoring that more needed to be done to prevent such a horrific act from being carried out, including use of the military to destroy aircraft even innocent Americans in them BEFORE such an act could be carried out? Hypothetical: What if it was learned that Americans, either naturalized or natural born, intent on causing much death and destruction were about to attack Americans on our soil, and this was known by the government to be imminent or in progress? Don't you think a decision should be made to prevent it? Or would you rather have someone dispatched beforehand or after the fact to read them their rights?

Believe the F-16 may have been Air National Guard if I recall correctly. Regular Air Force is charged with protecting the DC area. Constitution is about rights........

I asked a simple question and that's the response I get? Wow.

When Obamacare passed the R's didn't vote for it pretty much across the board. So if it works or fails it is a hit or a miss for the D's and Obama. Same thing should apply to the stuff overseas. If they were "Bush's wars" then the funding for the wars should have been only R's.

If you really want to challenge the voting record of who voted for the funding of the U.S. Embassy in Iraq then integrity dictates you provide the proofs. That is the way civilized debate is done. And it is inconceivably stupid to expect the opposing side to provide the proofs they are wrong and/or inaccurate. Try your tactic in a court room and you'll lose your case, if not have it and you thrown out for trying it too many times.
