Just curious. Does anyone have a problem with reality shows on national TV glorifying illegal activities? Have they gone too far? Perhaps they should film a bank robber or maybe a rapist in action...or how about a serial killer, that would make a good show. Where does it end? Do the advertisers give a damn? What does it teach our kids about our laws?

Any comments? And please, I don't care if you agree or disagree with moonshining...that's not the issue, it's still against the law.

I'd like to see a show called 'Shoot a Republican'.
Now that would be entertaining!

Typical, predictable response from another brain dead troll. Thank you for your intelligent input, now go crawl back under the porch and lick yourself.

Well said, Wriggley. We are in total agreement on this point. I don't watch ANY "reality" shows at all...can't stand them.

Good Day,

In some respects it is the dumbing down of the nation. That as our population becomes, how shall I say, less sophisticated we see the proliferation of shows like Jersey Shore or the Housewives series. It is not to say that there is not some good T.V. out there, there is. The History Chanel for example has lots of good stuf so too with the Travel Chanel, Food Network, Discovery and sometimes even PBS. Let us not forget SyFy either (Eureka for example).

So where do we draw the line? Are we saying anything is ok and if you don't want your kids to see it just change the channel? "Sorry Johnny, you're too young to watch serial killers so you can watch anus stretchers instead."

Aren't the producers breaking the law by aiding and abetting the criminals. Of course the Obama administration did the same thing ala Fast & Furious so I guess that's ok too.

And here we see the results of these crap TV shows. What's next? A suggestion for a return to the days of throwing people the lions while spectators watch them grusomely torn apart and cheer the whole time?

Isn't it ironic that they can't say certain words on TV, but they can glorify breaking the law?

Frankly, there is no good reason to have the activity illegal. The mountain folk did it to make enough money to pay their taxes to keep their land, and for their own consumption. People brew their own beer and make their own wine, grow their own tobacco...why not make their own hooch?

Where are all the MJ supporters on this one? We give peurto Rico billions to make rum, they support candidates that make moonshining illegal. But it's ok for the kennedys to be royalty as rum runners....

You people that have no experience in that area of the country are completely clueless to what life is like there. It isn't the same, nor will it be. They have no need of this government. All it does to them is keep them poor hook them on pharmaceuticals and steal their land. They went from a society of farmers to a society on welfare, in the last 100 years. Some of the richest most fertile farmland in the country, and your government stole most of it...and call it "the smokies" This is what parts of Appalachia
earned by supporting the north in the war of northern aggression. There was nothing civil about it. They weren't hillbillies, that's a myth propagated by your gubment. They were some of the most advanced farmers in the country, building some of the first frame homes in the country.

I say we all set up our own stills for our own consumption. Pepsi stock will skyrocket.

Just remember, half the population is below average. They just seem to be more visible lately.
