By the way, as usual you are wrong again. Congressional staffers probably had some of the best insurance around and yet, they are not happy. Why you might ask...because the insurance they were promised they could keep is going away...and going to cost them more...

The fact some anonymous Topix party hack has to "fix" Obama's statement in the first place speaks volumes. Obama's just now "apologizing" for his lie, although one could hardly call chastising a nation for his having to waste time with another "let me be clear" tutorial of BS a true apology. Even still, for a president with such a reputation of arrogance to lower himself in apology of any kind is damning evidence of how this mess has gone beyond even the progressives' expectations. And they are entirely to blame for bringing this down on the American people.

They see mid-term backlash written all over this lie, and we can expect a desperate push to try and find blame on anyone but themselves - which is why our little progressive parrot, Polly, is on her hamster wheel obediently spinning the same tired "it's the insurance companies' fault!!" rhetoric.

[But Barrette’s situation defies quick and easy description. It’s true that she can’t keep her current policy—and that most policies available to her for next year have higher premiums.]
Obama lied and people who were naive enough to believe him are now going to be forced to pay more for coverage that some government knob is insisting they know is better for them.
What part of any of that does not fit into what conservatives have been warning would be the outcome?
Facts, Bob. Obama lied. This person is paying more for her insurance.
End of story.
If it was the end of the story, then you wouldn't be on here whining about it day after day......

I will agree that this woman will be paying more. She will also be getting a real health insurance policy!

And a brilliant piece of bullshit it was........

So fantastic, it's not even there anymore!

If you don't want to look like a idiot any longer, post a link to a real story where the "victim" has to pay more for a policy that includes less coverage.

The so-called poor lady I posted about was, is, and until she quits whining, always will be just another bagger shill.....

Unless of course you'd consider real insurance something that doesn't pay any benefits.

Health insurance that doesn't cover illness or injury is like a home owners policy that only covers the dwelling if an alien spacecraft lands on it. It would be as stupid as someone buying auto insurance that only covered your car while it was parked.

People do that all the time. It's called storage insurance. Why pay a driving rate when your car isn't going to be on the road? The same thing applies. Why buy health insurance that covers maternity care or birth control if you've had a hysterectomy?

congressional members and their staffers weren't "promised" anything. Having to give up their federal insurance and instead go to the exchanges was part of the deal the GOPhers insisted on. Guess it serves them right. And your article stinks as usual anyway. A couple people grumbling and complaining in the background & making b.s. claims having to go to the exchanges is going to cost them money is not reliable or credible just like most of the other b.s. being put out by the lunatic fringe.

Whining is harping endlessly about a president who hasn't been in office for well over a term. Discussing a lie told by a sitting president that is currently costing millions of Americans is keeping up with current events, no matter how much it makes you progressives squirm.

Say goodbye to any democrat who tells a voter in their district that the insurance policy they were FORCED to purchase and that is costing them up to three times as much is "REAL health insurance"!!

Why don't also mention that insurers are deliberately (no one is forcing them to do so) sending out cancellation notices on their scam policies along with AUTOMATIC RENEWAL notices and offers for higher rate, more expensive policies in an effort to prevent policyholders from shopping on the exchanges for better and cheaper plans?

Anxious to see your bullshit response to this one.

You have a ghetto mouth crackpipe. No one out here cares about your problems in life, which you don't have. Why don't you go to Washington and ask if you can sit on Obama's lap. Maybe he'll read you a bedtime story to comfort the nightmares.

They may very well be deliberately cancelling policies.

Now think for a moment...
Just what new law enabled them to do so with no penalties or oversight for their dirty practices?
Just what shitty, poorly written, untested website might be preventing them from shopping on the exchanges.
Think on it...let me know when you come up with an answer.

Are you saying they were not able to hear or read the promise made by Obama that they could keep their insurance if they wanted to?
Are you saying they live in some sort of bubble that keeps them from hearing what Obama says and promises?

I'll help you out here...the news has reported many times that Obama put a little incentive into the law that excluded himself and congress and their staffers but left it up to each congress person to decide which staffers would also be excluded. Common knowledge and you can easily look it up for yourself...if you wanted to actually try and find the truth.

Comments like this just proves how dumb you really are. Sure people can drive their cars with just storage insurance and I suppose some do. However, if they have any kind of accident the insurance will not pay for any damage to their vehicle. If you are pulled over with just storage insurance you will be ticketed. So your point is pointless.

Here are the numbers for sign-ups in the D.C. exchange...right in Obama's backyard/frontyard...I realize Bob and the pipster won't be able to open the link or read the information without the help of a 5 year old but at least the rest of us can gain from this.

Lol. You really are stuck on stupid aren't you wiggles. As is well known, watching and listening to Faux news "really" does make people stupid. Well, Ok, lets see that little incentive, that one in the 'law' where Obama excluded himself, Congress and lets Congress decide which staffers are excluded. And since you seem big on words the President used - I'll let you show me IN WRITING your proofs. Since its so widely known, it shouldn't be too hard for you.

Naaaa, you don't provide any links to prove your claims, why should I?
