Whatever James. Bottom line I think you're either Lying or not comparing apples to apples or both. A while back you posted something about being an employer with less than 50 employees. Today you're saying something different. Typical of the bull Schit artists on discussion boards like this one. You and mouth make a good pair. Good luck deciding what to do.
Well pipester, I was just using the Kaiser Subsidy Calculator that you used to calculate insurance costs based on my income not your numbers. What came up is what I showed you. I am not asking you to believe it and honestly, I don't care if you do. I'm just saying it will cost me more. Yes I do have a small business. Is that a crime? Can't I shop around like you insist we do? Tell me oh wise one, what harm is it to you that I look at the exchanges? At least I'm looking at all the information that is out there unlike some closed minded people who insist this is a good plan while not signing up or looking into it.

Just for grins I used the the Kaiser Subsidy Calculator to determine premium amount based on following inputs.

Silver Plan
Annual Income: 40,000
Number of Adults/Children: 2
Michigan
Non-smokers

Results

The information below is about subsidized exchange coverage. Note that subsidies are only available for people purchasing coverage on their own in the exchange (not through an employer). Depending on your state's eligibility criteria, you or some members of your family may qualify for Medicaid.

Household income in 2014:
348% of poverty level
Maximum % of income you have to pay for the premium, if eligible for a subsidy:
9.5%
Health Insurance premium in 2014 (for a silver plan, before tax credit):
$8,270 per year
You could receive a government tax credit subsidy of up to:
$4,470 per year
(which covers 54% of the overall premium)
Amount you pay for the premium:
$3,800 per year
(which equals 9.5% of your household income and covers 46% of the overall premium)

Other Levels of Coverage

The premium and subsidy amounts above are based on a Silver plan. You have the option to apply the subsidy toward the purchase of other levels of coverage, such as a Gold plan (which would be more comprehensive) or a Bronze plan (which would be less comprehensive).

For example, you could enroll in a Bronze plan for about $1,912 per year (which is 4.78% of your household income, after taking into account $4,470 in subsidies). For most people, the Bronze plan represents the minimum level of coverage required under health reform. Although you would pay less in premiums by enrolling in a Bronze plan, you will face higher out-of-pocket costs than if you enrolled in a Silver plan.

Out of Pocket Costs

Your out-of-pocket maximum for a Silver plan (not including the premium) can be no more than $12,700. Whether you reach this maximum level will depend on the amount of health care services you use. Currently, about one in four people use no health care services in any given year.

You are guaranteed access to a Silver plan with an actuarial value of 70%. This means that for all enrollees in a typical population, the plan will pay for 70% of expenses in total for covered benefits, with enrollees responsible for the rest. If you choose to enroll in a Bronze plan, the actuarial value will be 60%, meaning your out-of-pocket costs when you use services will likely be higher. Regardless of which level of coverage you choose, deductibles and copayments will vary from plan to plan, and out-of-pocket costs will depend on your health care expenses. Preventive services will be covered with no cost sharing required.

Other Coverage Options

Children and young adults under age 30 are eligible to purchase catastrophic coverage. With a catastrophic plan, you would pay out-of-pocket for most health services until you reach the annual limit on cost sharing ($12,700 in 2014). However, preventive services are covered with no cost sharing required.

Whoa wait a minute James, I am not closed minded I just refuse to go on this stupid website give out all kind of information that I am told is already out there anyway, just to find out what I will be charged for some inadequate insurance.

Just remember folks this whole thing has nothing to do with changing how health care is administered it is about collecting dues for the government coffers. Not one person will be healthier no matter how much you pay for insurance.

I can respect that Shoeless, my point was made to pipester who says its good for everyone but him. I agree wholeheartedly that this is just a way to control the masses and has nothing to do with the way care is administered. Another interesting point is if we liked our insurance and doctors, we could keep them, then what is the reason for Obamacare? It is as you stated, to collect more taxes and control the masses.

[... ObamaCare is a grave attack on the financial stability of the middle class. The poor will be taken care of by subsidies and other government services. The rich will be able to afford concierge care and other conveniences allowing them to work around ObamaCare horribles. It's the great middle class that will be left in the lurch unless Democrats start to understand that they're in serious political jeopardy.]

Some believe it's far more than just collecting taxes. It's an attack on the middle class, and the best hope for the progressives to finally shove Single Payer health care down America's throat.

To those who call that just a conspiracy theory, I ask, if this administration were trying to destroy out health care system and make the middle class more desperate and open for Single Payer, what would they be doing differently??

Of course the two most vocal Topix progressive trolls will refuse to address this question, which should tell you something about the ignorant loyalty to party that the left has harvested among the radicals and low-info voters.

I'll limit my response to this ridiculous post of yours by saying that you've lost what little mind you had left.......

Some idiotic blogger, working for a website funded by a bunch of venture capitalists, posts her "theory" that the ACA is a secret plot by the Democrats to destroy the middle class and force us into a single payer system......

All of this nonsense rings a bell with you, which must sound like a gong in that hollow head of yours, and you can't wait to announce to the world that it's the real deal....

No conspiracy here folks.......

The same group of drones who have long supported the destruction of middle class, one union shop after another, is now lamenting the demise of the very people they've helped to bring down!

The same bunch of lowly educated dolts who cheered when worker's lost the right to negotiate for pay and benefits in Wisconsin, now expect the rest of us to think that they have their best interests in mind.

Yup, no conspiracy here.....

Just more insanity from Dingbat & Co.

Bigger hint for you there dummy...NONE of your "sources" count for anything more than toilet paper at the local State Park. There is more truth printed in the National Enquirer than is any of the "sources" you use and that's not saying much.

Actually, James, I'm done trying to prove anything to the pipester/bobby. They are doing nothing but being ankle biters and liars. Everyone has to be good at something. If it's not done with pictures and crayons, they can't comprehend any of the information they are given.
