Hey pipester, did you hear the news today? 39 democrats voted in support of Fred Uptonís amendment to let existing insurance policies to continue and insurers could sell individual policies to new customers. This is exactly what your dear leader has called on the insurance companies to do in his speech the other day. Now here is where it gets interesting. The White House has vowed to veto Upton's bill if it reaches the President's desk. What??? Obama does not care about you or anyone who loses their insurance. When are you going to wake up to this fact?

Oh wait, now the president says I can keep my old plan by presidential edict which goes against the AHCA by law and is unconstitutional for him to decree. He has also threatened to veto a bill which would do what he just said. What? Obama has mental illness and he should be forcibly removed from office when he finally snaps his cap. You see, this is what happens Mr. President when you try and fundamentally transform our country from free enterprise towards socialism; you get a cluster-fvck of epic proportions and become visible for what you are by many who didn't see through you in the first place. Lying scumbag motherfvcker!

I would like to know what you righties are so upset about when it comes to the ACA. It's nothing more than moderate insurance reform.
Employers have mandated the choices for insurance carriers for plans offered via work for decades. Guess what? That's still the same. Hasn't changed a bit. It's still up to your employer. Just completed my annual sign up and it was business as usual (other than it was easier than usual because of the bronze, gold thing to make a choice).
There is no federal health insurance plan. Medicare is not being expanded. There is no public option. The only "state run" plans are at the state level and have been in existence for quite a while. Exchanges in those states also offer coverage plans via private carriers.
The two big changes brought about are: 1) Expansion of Medicaid; and 2) the Insurance Exchanges for people who buy in the individual market as opposed to most of us who receive insurance through work. If you have insurance available through work or via your union or whatever, you're not eligible to go on the exchanges. That's around 90-95% of us. The website and all that doesn't affect you.
Medicaid? It's all paid for in the law. There is no tax increase to expand Medicaid, a basic insurance plan for the desperately poor. "Oh, they should pay for it like i have to." A: 1) They don't have the money, you have to be desperately poor to qualify for Medicaid; and 2) The ones who don't have Medicaid show up at emergency rooms, which are mandated by law to treat the indigent. It's MUCH more expensive to treat routine problems in emergency rooms than in a doctor's office. Expanding Medicaid will save the government and you money because you already subsidize them with higher insurance premiums you pay to help cover the additional emergency room costs that government reimbursements don't.
You're against insurers no longer being able to deny you a policy because you have high blood pressure, diabetes, or some other chronic condition?
You're against insurance companies dropping your policy if you become seriously ill, essentially declaring you totaled like a car because they deem it too expensive to fix you?
You're against being able to keep your kid on your family policy until they get through grad school?
You're against your insurer having to cover routine preventive care procedures like mammograms and colonoscopies and physicals at no cost to you other than your monthly premium?
The individual mandate? That's an idea that came right out of the right wing Heritage Foundation think tank back in the 1990s. The same organization now headed by wing nut Jim DeMint. Even here, if you read the law the IRS has been rendered powerless to enforce the tax penalty. Check out page 133 of the law.
What is it that has you guys so whacked out over this?
Get a JOB already will ya?

The other day you stated Obama exempted himself, Congress and their staffers from Obamacare. Asked you to back up that claim, but you refused and wanted to play games instead. Explain your claim that Obama exempted them, in light of your comment quoted above.

Miserable?? LOL ...

Reality Check for the dwindling few liberal Topix twats still stupid enough to post their support for this administration: Conservatives are hardly miserable, we're standing up and saying WE TOLD YOU SO!

We've been predicting this f'd up outcome for ACA since Humpty first convinced the easily-manipulated, low-info voter that a government takeover of health care was more important than jobs, the economy, the wars in the Middle East, eduction, our energy-producing capabilities, immigration, etc, etc, etc ...

There was no way this horribly put-together,mostly unread law was going to cover everyone, and after $1.6 billion spent by the democrats on this mess, 30 million Americans still cannot get insurance - 5 million have had their insurance cancelled.

Further still, until the little progressive saboteurs fix there $600 plus million dollar website of liberal ineptitude, millions more Americans are unable to abide by the law the democrats irresponsibly shoved down their throats. In fact, I think it's a fair conclusion the reality of just how wretched Obamacare is unraveling exceeds even the most critical of our predictions! We told you, and instead of listening you stupidly flung insults.

MISERABLE?? Miserable are the democrats currently spinning on a spit, watching their reelection chances go up in smoke. Miserable are the over 30 democrats who buried their pride and crossed party lines to vote alongside the GOP in order to even have a chance to save their political bacon.

Unfortunately, also miserable are tens of millions of Americans who are now paying a real price thanks to the democrats and their irresponsible "read it after you pass it" legislation.

Actually, at the end of the day there Pipester/Bobby, I will still be happy with my life and my friends and family and YOU will still be the angry little cowardly lion you have always been. And THAT is the bottom line that I see. You truly need some help. Fortunately for you, the ACA still demands that your mental health care is covered, so seek help while you still can before the arrogant President decides yet again to try to decree another change in the law.

Will someone be starting another thread about all of the hospitals and doctors offices that are closing down?

The title of this one mentioned doctors for some reason.......

No, Roberto, we're pretty happy with the way this one is going, thanks!!

However, maybe you should start another riveting faux tantrum thread that better suits your area of expertise - fast food.

LOL

The rest of us will continue discussing Humpty's lies and results thereof. Thanks for asking though ...

You're Welcome.......

Coming from the drone who started a thread "If You Like Your Doctor......" which up to this point has had nothing to do with them, I just figured you idiots had lost your way.

That must mean the so-called news about all of the doctors quitting was just a typical bagger lie.

LMAO - No wonder that you want to ignore that one!

Well, since you were sooooooo terribly busy using Fox News for the McRib faux outrage, perhaps you should try them for the lastest numbers on the doctors who are either quitting or retiring AND the hospitals that are not going to participate with Obamacare??? Of course, that would mean your head would explode. Can we sell tickets? I have a really good cause to donate the funds to...the Wounded Warrior Project.

Ignore what, Roberto? Something that has been in the news for 3 f'ing years?

THE PRESIDENT: "Here is a guarantee that I've made. If you have insurance that you like, then you will be able to keep that insurance. If you've got a doctor that you like, you will be able to keep your doctor. Nobody is trying to change what works in the system. We are trying to change what doesn't work in the system."

Among the questions that HHS recently added to the website: "Can I keep my own doctor?":

"Depending on the plan you choose in the Marketplace, you may be able to keep your current doctor." The bottom line is that Obamacare guarantees neither. Doctors may be only available through certain networks, just as in the current system. And only plans that existed in their current form on March 23, 2010, are even eligible to be "kept." The vast majority of plans will be new, subject to a raft of new regulations, requirements, and restrictions.

Now that Health and Human Services has confirmed that the suspicions of Obamacare opponents were justified, the Obama administration will have some explaining to do to friends and foes of the law alike. Because now everyone is finding out "what's in it."

OK, Bob, now it's time for you to come back with a dusty, pointless, fact-void, one-liner and off you'll troll to the next thread.

Hey Jughead ... What are you going to do a couple months from now when the website is up and running and people who previously could not buy affordable insurance, were denied and/or cancelled and they begin signing up by the millions, and the law starts working like it was designed? My money is that you'll be bitching that your junk insurance isn't working for you and you're headed either towards bankruptcy or a nursing home. Any takers?
