Given your last statement I doubt you are in business much less an accountant. If Bill Gates takes someone out to dinner and writes it off, I don't pay for it. The government may not get that money, but given the government debt, I don't make it up. The just stupidly print more money.

Pick the table that proves your point. Looking forward to your factual evidence instead of your fantasy talking points.

Okay guys. I was throwing out some hypothetical numbers to get a point across. Obviously what you need is absolute solid examples and numbers to deal with. Obviously you don't deal with concepts well.

I'll check with my CPA and see if he has time to throw together some hard numbers and data. Or at least point me toward some that I can use the way you need them used.

Just use the IRS tables I provided.

They aren't that hard to read.

I think I'd rather do it my way to be as precise as you require.

You did notice this disclaimer when accessing the IRS tables, didn't you?
"Please note that by clicking on this link, you will leave the IRS web site and enter a privately owned web site created, operated and maintained by a private business.

The information that this private business collects and maintains as a result of your visit to its web site may differ from the information that the IRS collects and maintains.(please see the IRS web site privacy and security notice for privacy protections IRS provides to web site visitors).

By linking to this private business, the IRS is not endorsing its products, services, or privacy or security policies. We recommend you review the business's information collection policy or terms and conditions to fully understand what information is collected by this private business."
Especially the part that says "The information that this private business collects and maintains as a result of your visit to its web site may differ from the information that the IRS collects and maintains."

You might find this interesting in the mean time, considering income inequity.
"This report examines changes over time and across countries in the shape of the
income distribution to afford Members of Congress a broader perspective when deliberating such
policy issues as the progressivity of income tax rates, the generosity of social insurance programs,
and the level of the minimum wage."

No, it's just a legal disclaimer for the one set of tables. When I click on the tables at www.irs.gov I don't get that disclaimer and on every table it says " Source: IRS, Statistics of Income Division, July 2011"

Nice try but use the www.irs.gov tables and try to make your point using real information, not your made up talking points.

How is it made up talking points to say those making well into the six figures [even] paying the Federal income taxes, if and/or when they do are not living in the overall economy better than those not making the six figure incomes and paying no Federal income taxes at all? How is it made up talking points to say those not making the six figure incomes are still paying Federal taxes included in the prices of what they buy?

I am not so invested in this argument that I want to take a bunch of time out of my day to be digging through the entire IRS site to find the tables you are talking about. When I post a site to back up my points I don't post the home site and expect the other to dig through and find what I'm talking about. I post the page directly. For whatever reason I am not finding the tables you are talking about on the IRS home site. I don't see any tables tab to be clicking you said to.

Having not seen the tables you are referring to; because the IRS lists out tax obligations doesn't include the allowed for deductions and/or write offs included in the individual filers final filing.

Like I said, I am not so invested in this argument to go on a treasure hunt to find what you are claiming as your proofs. If you want me to see it post the direct page link. I would be thrown out of court by the judge and lose the case if I stated my arguments expecting the judge and opposing counsel to go look them up where I said they could find them.

I have no idea how you got that from my post.

It's none of my business what you make. UNTIL you begin accusing me of being unproductive by your standards.

Your meaning the financial envy that some are paying Federal Income taxes while others aren't!? I get it now.

You can't even keep up with the context of your own arguments.

Zero liability? Well if you haven't hit the top 5% you just aren't working hard enough. Better get to it.
