These numbers don't bode well for the radical right who'd rather see this country fail and unemployment figures rise.

I love how Mitt has been claiming that unemployment numbers are so vital in judging how well the economy is doing. Until the unemployment numbers fall...then they don't mean so much.

Who does the labor department work for again? Oh.
The real question is this: do those numbers reflect real jobs added (doubtful) or part time jobs and also those that have just given up looking for jobs?
Nothing like painting a rosy picture of recovery based on part-time seasonal hiring in advance of the upcoming holiday season without noting that most of those jobs will be gone by the end of December. Some recovery.

Right, I'm sure they meant to say the real number (11%), but just typed it in wrong. I guess if I was a member of an angry liberal party who's candidate just got his ass whooped in a debate, I'd be fudging the numbers to make myself look better too.

Oh c'mon Sneaky, let the whiners have their day, will ya? You know he got his ass handed to him and we know that Biden will get his handed to him by Ryan. Besides, none of them even think about the people who have given up looking for a job because the normal thought process for the libs/progressives/dems is if we can't see them, they don't exist. Rather like women, Jews, the homeless and blacks, unless it's an election cycle.

Only a liberal would celebrate 7.8% unemployment. Hey it only took what 5 - 6 trillion to get the numbers they wanted. I'm sure the people who lost benefits last month and are no longer included in unemployment think this is a good thing as well. Looks like food stamp printers are gearing up for record growth, so there is about 50 new jobs right there.

The 7.8 percent comes from the fact that millions of people are no longer unemployment-check qualified. Add to that those that found part-time jobs (which are factored in) and the holiday shopping season that is the cause of most of those jobs, then you can get to 7.8%. Temporary jobs are not what people are looking for. Obama is done and you leftist cattle herd know it.

Oh brother ... Romney never said those numbers don't mean much. He stated the obvious point that part-time jobs and people giving up on looking may have effected those numbers, but he never said they don't mean much.

SS, if you have to make shit up to prove something than your point is likely wrong. You never have been able to grasp that. Shocker that you of all people, despite a statistic that finally gives liberals at least a shred of something to hang their hats on, would degrade into lying again. LOL ... Is it even possible for you to tell the truth any longer? No, you've proven once again that it's not.

Now what is true is that the liberal media has grasped onto these numbers like it's the second coming of Obama and they're trying to use them to defuse Romney's attacks on Obama's dismal jobs performance. While the numbers are better than they were a month ago, they are still bad - and I'm not even talking about the obvious argument that part-time jobs and people who are no longer looking have had a "positive" outcome on Obama's unemployment braggin' rights. The fact is we still haven't created enough jobs to even make up for the additional people coming into the workforce.

While this new figure is something Obama and his desperate liberal media can utilize, it's still not anywhere near a figure that reflects a successful administration. That's no spin, folks. That's just being honest.

Soooo, if what you are saying is true, then they can go back and make adjustments, then wouldnt that make one question the accuracy if this month's jobs report?

Dont get me wrong,.... I think the 7.8% is good news!
Last night on NBC nightly news, they were saying that these job figures were accurate, and there was really NO way to fudge the numbers in order to make it look better.
But then, after reading your post about them going back in history, and changing the numbers, it made me wonder.....
Even though the numbers look good, it is not enough to change my vote.
And if your post was true, and they CAN go back, and make changes, it makes me wonder about the accuracy of these numbers.
Now, after reading your post that the numbers are Not accurate, and the fact that these numbers came out just two days after Obama got his ass whipped in the debate, really makes me suspicious.
Thanks for pointing out the fact that these numbers are not accurate, and suspect to change.
Thats something I didnt know, untill I read your post.

I've just been paying attention, the last couple of years, but they seem to only ever adjust, in the next month's announcement, they announce on 30 day, set intervals...may be a policy, to only release information monthly....You vote for whomever you like...I have said before, we need 200-300,000 jobs a month, to actually meet the goal of making high unemployment history....

Not only CAN they adjust previous month's numbers, this administration has been doing it on a regular basis. In fact, in every month but one or two, they've adjusted the jobless numbers back UP after the fact and yes...it very much makes me question the current numbers given the timing of them.
No way to 'fudge' the numbers? LOL...there's ALWAYS a way to fudge the numbers.

Well, after what I saw on MBC last night, I was genuinly happy about the good news.
But then I read post #2 on here today, which was from one of our more libereal posters, that said the numbers mean nothing, and they can be "adjusted" at a later date.
And if that is true, because the person that made that claim in post #2 claims that all of his posts are FACTS,(without any proof) then how can one believe in the 7.8% claim?
Kind of odd that liberals themselves are questioning the good news.
From their own posts, which they claim to be "facts",....and then they say that those facts can be changed, it makes one wonder,.....
