With 5 million Americans out of work, what would happen if we shipped the 12-20 million illegals back to Mexico? How much would the tax revenues go up and how low would the unemployment rate be?
Dang, that just might solve our problems.

The families that I know of, are also "hard core" republicans.

I believe there is a number to report welfare fraud in the AT&T phone book. You might want to consider reporting it to the Attorney General's office as well, in writing, because this is a waste of the State's budget money.

That is money the state is taking by force from you people to give to others who know how to use the system.
First off I need to be very clear; I DO NOT agree nor do I think because one sector is doing it it should be okay for another.

That said, the people on welfare and even those defrauding it that money goes directly back into the community. Grocery stores make money from it. Yes even for alcohol and tobacco products, which is illegal. Still that money goes directly back into the community businesses.

On the other hand the Trillions we are giving away to the wealthiest goes directly into their already bloated bank and investment bank accounts.

Yes, yes and yes again these fraudulent activities need to be halted. But unless you know of these little people being complained about are supporting two and more luxury homes, boats, best of vehicles, regular foreign vacationing start using the trickle down theory to good use and stop it at the top first.

Well since we were working full time taking care of my son and the mother was collecting welfare in two states yes we both got pleasure from her arrest and all the money she had to repay the state. If you had a job you might be upset if your tax dollars were going towards paying her bills.

I would rather I make the money exchange to my community businesses but it gets taken so I do not have the chance to use it. I would even help my neighbors more if I had more. Socialism sounds nice until you don't have the money to support it. And all those so called hard core republicans feeding off the system. They are probably looking to recoup the money taken from them at gun point.

At my new job, managing an apartment community, I see many, many people (mostly women) abusing their section 8 and other vouchers. Their children suffer while "Mommy" brings home secret live-in boyfriends and generally acts like a teenager on drugs. During recertification time (once a year), they clean up their dirty apartments, then afterwards it's back to normal. Before anyone tells me I'm exaggerating... I'm not.

*In support of Canadagirl, I have to say my husband has a POS ex-wife too, and it's WAY MORE funny to see someone that commonly refers to you as a b**** get busted than a complete stranger.

We laughed for months when his ex's lies finally caught up to her and she had to pay back thousands of dollars to the state.

You really should take the time to read it, the whole concept is to stop and turn in welfare fraud. I think Rush is on the radio now, but hey, read all the posts after his propaganda for parrots.

I worked with a hispanic man who would file his income tax and claim his wife, children,(mother, father, 2brothers,and a sister ) the five latter all living in mexico with ssnumbers they had received in the USA. He would send money back to them every few weeks. He asked me how much I was getting back and I would say about 2,000 he would get back 7,000-8,000. I would be soooo pissed!!!!!!

jvc2 I see you on the chat forum and I am wondering why this person posting under names that we have a restraining order on are threatening my wife. Does anyone have any idea who these people really are? Or just a cyber bully trying to cause problems.

The HHS office also has the number for Office of Inspector General. They do investigation and refer cases for prosecution for all kinds of welfare fraud.

I said "Sure, but I need to see your ID to see if it has your name on the card.(DUH!) and she looked at me like I was from Mars and left the store!!! Dumb, Dumber and DUMBEST!!!!
That is HORRIBLE! You should be disgusted with yourself. The woman asked for help and you gave her a hard time.

I just love you people that assume you know it all. Did she state that she was using it to purchase her OWN food????

Did you stop for even a second to think that perhaps she was shopping for someone who was unable to do it themselves?!?!

See... here's a flash of knowledge for you... DHS actually allows people who cannot shop for themselves to legally assign someone else to shop for them using the bridge card.

I personally shop for my mother who has suffered two heart attacks and a stroke. She can walk, but due to the stroke she has trouble communicating and understanding instructions etc.

My father-in-law also shops for a neighbor who is wheelchair bound and has no help for transportation right now.

Unless that woman made a statement that the food was for herself and not her neighbor, then what you did was disgusting.

Julie, all their kids and health benefits, housing etc, combine that with the middle men and non profit groups and the gov't, it put our country in the poor house is right. If you go to most of the factories, businesses, the local gov't's etc, you will find out most of them have come here from Mexico in the last 6-7 years. So yes, you are right. Had we not had the exodus of people like we did, our country would have more jobs for American's and their kids that have lived here their whole life. If anyone is to blame, it's our gov't for not making tougher penalties of illegals caught here. I don't believe they did it by accident either. Possession is 9/10'th's of the law.
