I pray that the child has a speedy recovery. I will also pray for the driver who apparently is going to need it. I will also pray for the mother of the child that was not watching her child that she may become a better parent after this.

Poor baby.. I feel for them so much. That is a busy road. We grew up on 52nd st. in Kentwood and were not allowed in the front yard without mom or dad to be out with us til we were old enough to know better.

It's easy to point the finger when it isn't you or your family who is involved. Accidents happen in an instance. It is not the parents' fault. I will pray for you that you become less judgemental of others, and that you never have to feel the grief of someone who has lost a child.

Sorry Chris but you're the IDIOT here - Ruby posted 6 hours ago - at a time when we were all hoping the little girl would make it. The Ruby post was well BEFORE the child passed away later Sunday morning. Who's the Idiot now Chris?

My thoughts & prayers for the Family & for the driver of the vehicle!

how horrible. i have a 3 year old and know firsthand how quickly they can get out of your sight and into danger, no matter how closely you watch them. my thoughts are with the family and with the driver, who probably didn't have time to react to the toddler going into the street.

I guess I'm confused on what the relevance is of the child passing away or not...it's STILL awful and sad is it not?

the most of you are idiots it was a accident why cant you offer prayers and strengh instead of saying what a bad parent they are 3 year olds are fast and you cant have your eyes on them 24-7 bless her little heart and please god bless the mother she has the aftermath to deal with without all you idiots and your smart remarks what is wrong with you people where is the compassion that god gave us have a heart this is so sad please keep your thoughts to yourself the next bad thing could very easily happen to you or someone you dearly love THINK about it to the mother and father and friends and family may heart cries for you and you will be in my prayers

How sad to see all the finger pointing. Toddlers can easily walk away with a turn of the head. Toddlers may be great with roads (and not crossing them) but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. She may have been very obedient, but she's three!

Quit pointing fingers. Offer support for this family and the driver.

I'm sorry for their loss. This is a very very sad situation.)=

I agree. This is not the time to condemn or criticize the parents. We don't know the whole story. It is a time to reflect on this terrible accident and pray for everyone involved. God give the parents and family, as well as the driver of that car the strength to deal with this.

What a tragedy for the family for sure! My thoughts and prayers go out to both families involved. I can't imagine being the driver of that vehicle, when everything happens so quickly! God Bless!

Gail, Julie and mom....I agree with your posts and share your compassion for the parents and the driver and all involved. Perhaps some of these finger pointers have never had to deal with toddlers who can shoot away in the blink of an eye. Even when they are within your eyesight. It is NO ONE'S FAULT..a tragic accident.

I agree. Toddlers can get away from you so quickly. WOOD reported that the child saw her sister across the street, and was trying to get to her.

How tragic and heart breaking for all involved, including the driver. May God give them comfort and strength at this time. I can't imagine how they must be feeling. Very sad.

Little one's are fast, independent thinkers. It is true that you can't watch them all of the time. turn your back for a second and they are gone.
Bless both families. No one blames any one!! It was a horrible accident! Accidents happen! May God be with you all through this trying time.
As for some of you with sharp tongues. Don't be so judgemental. It could vary well happen to you.
