Are you kidding me? Two children in one family fall from the same window. Did any body notice the parents were lousy at being parents? Apparently not. How unbelievably awful.
Were you there? You must be childless to be so inconsiderate.

What I see is how you and Mostly Listening (and others yet to 'come') get your ya-yas.

People like you sit here waiting for the day's tragedy so you can swoop in and debase to feel good about yourselves.

It's probably the only way your pent-up ilk know to get aroused.

You would think if this happened ONCE before, you would take every precaution possible to prevent it from happening again...right??

This is so very sad because the parents should have been well aware of the danger and it should have never happened.

What I see is that it is to soon to form an opinion. Obviously you don't have kids because you can't watch them 24/7 it is impossible and accidents can happen. I do think it is odd to have something like this happen twice but I guess it is possible. I don't feel it is appropriate to judge the parents until more information is gathered.

ok everyone here needs to slow their roll!! who are you to judge ANYONE?? i will not reveal any information on here as it is private, but this has nothing to do with the parents being unfit or dumb or abusive! remember when this happened to his brother, nothing was brought against them. as will be this time because they are excellent parents and screw you all who can sit there and judge them. you can all go to hell

Everyone parents differently and certainly everyone will never completely agree on what is appropriate. However, it is very dangerous and unwise to leave ANY young child for ANY amount of time unsupervised.

Michigan Family Law describes "Improper Supervision - placing the child in or failing to remove the child from a situation that a reasonable person would realize requires judgment or actions beyond the child's level of maturity, physical condition, or mental abilities and results in bodily injury or a substantial risk of immediate harm to the child."

Here's the thing: does ANY child under the age of 10 or 12 have the judgment, maturity, and mental abilities to make truly good decisions? If you answer yes, then you MUST also believe these same children are then able to be emancipated minors. I sure don't know a single child under 12 that is capable of living on his or her own (able to make sound judgements).

This should be a lesson to us all: young children should NEVER be left unsupervised for any amount of time. I hope there is a thorough investigation because I am concerned by the failure to learn on the part of these parents. If in fact this was a true accident, a fluke, then so be it.

The first time a kid falls out of a window, maybe it was a freak accident, maybe there was a logical explanation. The second time is a crime. If my child fell out of the window I would make sure it had some type of safety lock to prevent it from happening again. Duh!! People need to take responsibility for their actions, or in this case inaction.

boy you are some pretty judgemental people. I sure hope nothing like this ever happens to you and YOU are the ones being judged. You really need to think about the effect your words will have before you hit send, shame on you.

May God bless the family and siblings during this tragic time.

First of all, he fell out of the living room window, not the bedroom window. Second, please dont be rude and judge this family so harshly. We all make mistakes and accidents happen. This family is grieving for thier child. Show some respect. Pray for them.
What is upsetting is, that this is not the first time. They should have taken ALL precautions and made sure it never happened again.

It is not that hard to prevent a child from falling out of a window....I have managed just fine for 15 years. And these parents happen to have TWO kids fall in a matter of a few years???

This is so terribly sad and very unfortunate for this family. I cannot begin to understand how this would happen let alone twice, however, let's pray for this family and not pass judgement.
