If you don't think the DeVos and VanAndel families aren't behind the scenes pulling strings then your stupider than I originally thought. A metermaid in the city of GR doesn't take a sht without clearing it through one of DeVos' people. You're ignorant and cretinous. Grand Rapids is their little creation, built on the backs of stupid people and a pyramid scheme. They build fancy hotels that go empty most nights just to make their little skyline look better on the SCAMWAY brochures. It's amazing what a few billion dollars can buy.

If you think all the billions they have can't buy city employees, prosecutors and city council members in a small town like Grand Rapids then you obviously know very little about how the world goes around.

LOL! A vote...whatever?
It's the backbone to our whole country's philosophy! A government OF the PEOPLE! Voting is our most cherished right and our solemn duty. Every soldier who has given their life and limb for this country has done so to protect that right! And you sum it up with "whatever"?
Who's the child here? You don't agree with this vote so...whatever....voting isn't important. You aren't doing anything for your credibility here. The child has lost and now (according to the child) the most important form of democracy can be summed up in one word...whatever.
You've done nothing but prove the headline of this discussion, thanks for playing along.
I doubt that the soldiers that you are so reverently referring to risked life and limb for pot de"criminal"ization and probably don't give a rats nut about how much you cry and degrade an opposing opinion. However, they did fight to defend everyone's freedom. However, I'm almost positive they thought we would use their gift wisely and for the common good. When I think about the parents down the street who lost their son and then you, who stomps his feet and complains about your pot vote I feel sick inside and they would too. To hear you and know you want to squander that gift kills me inside.

I guess that's where I've been coming from all along. There are people out of work who've spent their savings and retirement trying to keep what they have, kids at school stealing little things because there's no money at home, and parents who are too proud to ask for help because they've always believed in good, honest work for what they get. You are catching me with very little sympathy and my "whatever" doesn't mean I have nothing to say or that I am stupid. I only wish that you could see how insignificant your argument is compared to the bigger problems out there. PS I'm not playing right now.

You are totally missing the point. They did risk life and limb for the people's right to vote, whatever that vote is. Just because you disagree doesn't mean a vote holds any less weight. If you want to live in a democracy, in a place where the people have a voice, then you have to embrace democracy as a whole, not just the parts you agree with.

Sigh.....I just explained stuff as best I could....tried.....failed..... ...Stevie? Does pot affect anything else besides sperm count and need for munchies? Does anybody know? Is there a fact based analysis of brain cells or anything? Just wondering. I'll look it up on my own when I'm not donating time to charity, reassuring a coworker that there will be easier times ahead and their pink slip is just a speed bump in life, sneaking a snack to a hungry child and placing new sneakers in their locker. Stevie, do you wake up, look in the mirror and say "I'm gonna whine, complain and fight for what I want!" Or do you look in the mirror and say to yourself "How can I make today better for someone else that is in need of a kind word or gesture?" Just wondering.

No need to waste your time looking it up you have been talking to a results of pot. If that is not an example of damaged brain cells I don't know what is.

Another one who hates freedom and feels democracy holds very little value. This has been a productive thread, you're all coming out of the woodwork! At least we know where you stand!

Don't care what happens in California, I don't live there. Are you saying because of what happened in California the scales should balance out by having democracy stamped out 3,000 miles away? I'm not quite sure what your point is.
I knew you wouldn't get my point, so I'll explain it in small words. The point is this: The people of California voted against Gay Marriage and you don't "care since you don't live there" that the will of the people is being overridden by a group taking it to court. The same thing is happening here. And your BS about the DeVos family is just that BS. You can't bring yourself to admit that the issue is the fact that what the city of GR wants to do is against STATE and FEDERAL law, but you "don't care about that." Got it.
