Cyclops Rex wrote: <quoted text>Yeah, OK. There really IS no reasoning with you people. The palindrome for "Bolton" is "Notlob," and THAT is an expired parrot. Robert Byrd is dead, and the southern racist dems all joined up with the GOP in the late 60's as a result of Nixon's "southern strategy," a plan that was implemented in part by a young Roger Ailes. To suggest otherwise is to either expose the depths of your ignorance, or the depths of your depravity, and in neither case do you or will you ever contribute anything positive to the species. This shooter was a typical ignorant right wing tool, spoon fed by Beck, Weiner/Savage, and Worldnet daily, and stoked to the point of flaming out in a hail of bullets. Accept it, and even further, accept the fact that your ideology is not only flawed, but hostile to life itself. You might also remember that the tolerance of "liberals" is not infinite. We will keep Ol' Yeller around as long as we can, but when he starts going after the kiddies, he will be put out of his misery faster than a Fox news/comedy show. Is this because you say so? or because you want it to be so? Because it sure isn't fact. Why do idiot Liberals always start with a political affiliation when some wacko goes off the deep end. Even if he was a Republican, when he lost it, he most definately turned left! From the left on these threads, I would say that the "Liberals" are the farthest thing from "tolerent". By the way, you are not near as smart as you think you are! But you are most likely as arrogant as others know you are, and your drivel has become very boring. Do you even know how to have a "normal" adult conversation? I bet you are hated by those in your life, that have to listen to you on a daily basis. Always the smartest, loudest, most boring woman in the room.

That shooter was one of you.
32 fucking years,
When Reagan took office, we had the best-paid, best educated and most productive workforce on the planet. We were the creditor nation to the world, our debt was infinitesimal, and we were the greatest producer of finished goods in the world. A person could get out of high school, and land a job that paid for a house, a few new cars, vacations, quality health care, sent a couple of kids through college and still left enough in the end to finance a comfortable retirement.
fucked that up. There hasn't even been an honest to god democrat,
you go and post some bullshit blog from some conservative tool that blames the outcome of 3 decades of corporate conservative policies on LIBERALISM?
Fuck off, man. You are no patriot, and certainly no expert on politics.
You are the fucking PROBLEM. Yes sit back and stay quiet!! The ramblings of a lunatic, Liberal just before she goes off the deep end!! Way to stay classy there Ms Liberal USA, way to represent your Party, Now you, blue, bob,and SS all sound the same! Rant much? You must be the most hated person in your little world!, sad really!

I used to employ a bunch of Singh's. Really great people. This is pretty sad. And if you want to blame anybody, honestly, don't you think you ought to blame Geraldo and Jimmy Carter? The two biggest reasons all these nut bags aren't locked up in a rubber room. Doesn't anyone else think there is a problem with psychotics and leaving them as responsible to take their own meds?

Piss off. That shooter was one of you. And he is not the first, nor will he be the last. And your kind of rhetoric, and the malignant and fatally flawed ideology behind it is ALWAYS going to result in incidents like this, as the income gap grows wider, as our liberties and opportunities grow fewer, and people are even further removed from the kind of education and critical thinking skills that are necessary to recognize who their enemies are. We have had conservative economic and legislative policy in this country for 32 fucking years, now. YOUR people fucked that up. There hasn't even been an honest to god democrat near power since JFK thought it was a good idea to go cruising through Dallas with the top down. And then, you go and post some bullshit blog from some conservative tool that blames the outcome of 3 decades of corporate conservative policies on LIBERALISM? Fuck off, man. You are no patriot, and certainly no expert on politics. You are the fucking PROBLEM. While most of your post is wrong, and the actual evidence has been provided, you got one thing right. When you said "There hasn't even been an honest to god democrat near power since JFK" you nailed it. Kennedy along with most D's voted against Eisenhower's '57 Civil Rights Act. Later as President Kennedy condemned the Freedom Riders of '61 as being unpatriotic. In terms of voter registration among Blacks, Kennedy (both John and Robert) did nothing at the Federal level and said it was the duty of the states to reform this area and not a federal issue. During his campaign Kennedy said that poor housing among Blacks could be ended with the signing of the president's name but as President Kennedy did nothing. Malcolm X and the Nation of Islam had been in existence under Eisenhower but they moved to the national level because Kennedy did nothing to advance the cause of Blacks. The only time Kennedy actually spoke out in favor of Civil Rights he did so for political reasons, not because of his personal beliefs. And when action was ordered, such as at Ol' Miss in '62 or in Birmingham in '63, it wasn't R's that the National Guard was going up against. It was Kennedy's Democratic peers. We could look at Kennedy's military policies, his foreign policies, his economic policies and see the same thing. By today's standards Kennedy would be a conservative, probably more in line with the Tea Party since Kennedy favored small government and states rights. By the time Reagan took office, many considered him somewhat liberal which shows just how far to the left both parties had moved in 20 years. Today, both parties continue to move to the left while the general population hasn't. The things you blast the right for today, would have been too liberal for Kennedy and his policies would be considered ultra-conservative in today's political arena.

IMHO without going into all the reasons and a long diatribe. Moderate republicans like Reagan, and Ike, and in Michigan Romney and Milliken were the biggest reason all the successes we've seen in my lifetime and that rex was speaking of. I get tired of hearing how politicians are fighting for this or that or you or me. The only thing they fight for is their friggin jobs. Look at Obamas tenure. Senator, one year traveling, a few months voting, 2 1/2 years running for president. President, 50% running for 2nd term, 10% on vacation, 25% blaming someone else, and 15% effing things up worse. Trying to mimic the success (yak) of the most inept worthless pile of shit Jennifer GrandHole. Rex, calm down before you have an aneurism. Stop drinking the kool-aid. The measure of a man is not in the letters behind his name...the measure of a man is how much you can trust the spew emitting from his pie hole. We've talked about this before. Republicans at least tell you, you're on your own...democrats lie to make you feel better until you find out...you're on your own. And for god sakes would you stop shining that turd JFK.

I agree with you. I also think that people forget that it is the responsibility of a Representative to represent their district. Not every district or anyone else, especially in another state. I think Maxine Waters is a complete idiot. But she represents a district where most of the folks are uneducated, have little chance of making any real money (and thus don't pay taxes) unless it is in sports. In which case they move away from her district. Her job is not to vote for what's best for the people in her state, that's the job for the Senate. Nor is it to do what's best for the whole country. Her job is to do what's best for the 640,000 who live in her district. And for them, big government, lots of free stuff, more handouts is, in their opinion what's best for them. She generally gets 80% of the vote and has been in office since 1993, so she's good at getting the folks in her district what they want. At the same time, the people who run against her who run on what's right, long term thinking, and getting people to take responsibility for their lives and families don't get many votes. So we don't have the government I want. Or the one that Rex wants. Or the one that any individual wants. But we do have the government that "we the people" want because we have the chance to change it every other year. And in a few months "we the people" will have another opportunity to decide what we want our government to look like. From the local school districts up to the President.

He truly represents the progressive viewpoint well, don't you think?

So did you give up because you didn't understand his point, because you don't think that after each incidence the media doesn't go into a "tougher gun control" frenzy, or because you believe that tougher gun control laws would have prevented the latest tragedies? You hate them, I know. Why? Could it be that you hate success and that you feel as if they (conservatives) have been responsible for ruining the middle class and the American dream? I think it's time to do some soul searching Rexy! The progressive movement (mostly liberals) have been the root cause of Americas decline.

We live in a country where the politicians 'protect society' by waging a multi billion dollar war on drugs yet allow just about any nut case to own a handgun. If you fail to see how lopsided that is both from a safety and a personal freedom perspective the you are just an idiot.

People in a movie theater, in a civilized country, shouldn't have to accept the risks of a nutcase taking their life away while watching Batman. Preoccupation with illegal drugs? He drew a comparison using automobiles, I drew one with drugs. How many people has a joint killed while pointed at people in a movie theater? Which is safer to allow citizens to carry and which one is illegal?
