So close but no cookie and it's all Obama fault that Boehner couldn't get Plan B passed......

Wait! What's this?

"The House did not take up the tax measure today because it did not have sufficient support from our members to pass,” Boehner said in a statement.“Now it is up to the president to work with Senator Reid on legislation to avert the fiscal cliff.”

Whew! The way that quote started out, it almost sounded like the teabaggers in the House couldn't get together even when they have a majority. I'm sure glad to see that their failure means that its Obama's fault!

How long before the mid-terms so we can get this whacko conservative nightmare behind us?

Need to cut spending first..... That way you will be forced to get a real job that pays enough so you can pay income taxes instead of taking an earned income tax credit......

Plan B had two parts, one of which was the spending portion of the bill. Had you bothered to read the linked article, you would have seen that 21 teabaggers jumped ship to vote against it. The portion of the bill that dealt with expiring tax rates was going to lose up to 40 ultra-conservative whack jobs!

How do you expect Obama to do the Republicans work for them by proposing a tax/spending bill that these teabaggers would support? The GOP has once again shown that their plan is nothing more than a punt.

Congratulations on the wonderful example of leadership!

Plan B was Pelosi's proposal a few years back. We do not have a revenue problem. Spending cuts will force innovation by the takers....

You're kidding, right? Pelosi sought to cut food stamps, Meals on Wheels, Medicaid, the funding for the health exchanges in Obamacare, and funding for Dodd Frank? Those were all a part of the Plan B spending bill.

We don't have a revenue problem?

The why did Boehner's Plan B allow for phasing out certain tax breaks to lower and middle class taxpayers?

Plan B included a partial rollback on the earned income credit. A phasing out of the child tax credit for some taxpayers who had a zero tax bill ue to low wages, better known as the additional child tax credit which was refundable. It also reduced or eliminated tax credits for college tuition paid by students or parents.

Until you know what you are talking about, I would suggest that you sit back and let the other lowly educated whack jobs of the conservative party make fools of themselves. It's obvious you came back too soon!

Another example of a patriot that Angie won't be able to see.

Thanks for the proof that you've never had anything of value to add to any subject!

Slightly paranoid about who Angie is, aren't you? Give you a hint..it's not me. Never been Angie, am not Angie now, and frankly, don't want to be Angie. Besides, I like calling you a buffoon. You're the buffoon, Stevie is the bigot, and Blue is the baby.

Sure, the Dems have rejected every proposal from the GOP and even one from Obama, only a complete moron would think this is the GOP's fault.

Govt spending on out of control entitlements produces nothing when they take money from the makers to give to takers......

Nope, sorry. I got my information from news websites. Now, how about trying to rebut what we've said instead of making false claims about where we got our information? If we're wrong, prove it.

Totally agree. The Senate, The House, and the White House all need their salaries stopped until they get off their dead behinds and do their jobs. Then, their benefits need to fall in line with yours and mine AND they need to pay for their own, just like we do.

I wonder why back in May Pelosi backed Plan B, but has now changed her mind.
