The reason you don't have any assurance about your employer has nothing to do what they don't know. It has everything with what you refuse to know!
Your employer looks forward to your continued blind faith that they have anyone's best interest at heart other than their own. It's the same thing when you put your support behind a political party whose only answer to decades of runaway insurance costs is to push for giving the medical profession the chance to escape from malpractice liability.
Is the ACA the perfect answer? Nope!
But your entire party sits back smugly knowing full well that the lowly educated who follow them don't expect them to try to work out any reasonable changes to it. The party of repeal has wasted four years with continued attempts to pass a repeal that isn't going anywhere, and not one measure to make it easier to implement or to make it more affordable.
Please make sure that when the new year arrives that you tell your bosses that you want less hours, less pay, and less benefits.
They're counting on you to make sure that their bottom grows at your expense!
The bottom line gets shared with me Bob. Sorry it doesn't work that way for you, must STBY. As for the ACA, we know you won't be brave enough to come on here and admit you got screwed by Obama, but we will sit and laugh anyway because we know it is happening. It's in the law and the employers are scrambling to find a way around it. At least the employers who care about their employees are trying to find a way around it. Your employer probably hasn't informed you yet because they know you would call them a liar and uninformed. That's your favorite line for everyone who doesn't agree with your blind view of the world. And Obama just looooooves fools like you.

So many issues......
We could start with the fact that you call someone intolerant and then call them a putz? Sounds like you've cornered the market on intolerance!
Maybe we could discuss the fact that we both have employers that will cover our health insurance. The wife's by contract between her shop and the UAW.
But I think we should discuss the fact that you are posting at 1pm in the afternoon. Gville JimBoi has already said that anyone posting at that time of the day must be an unemployed slacker like he used to be. Can we agree that you should refrain from posting until after he has had the chance to get out of his minimum wage job and stagger home from the bar?
Oh, you mean the same UAW who got an exemption in following Obamacare as soon as it was offered? That UAW?????

I really feel sorry for all of those who think this law is going to make their life better, keep them healthier, and save them money. When the doctors office gives you the questionnaire that will have all these questions and you gladly fill them out because you want to be cooperative and because its the LAW! I can just hear the poor girl at the counter saying to me but Mr Eluder you have to answer these questions? of course my answer will always be NOYB, Things are going to change folks 1 year from now I predict an all out assault because of the deception of that we had to pass it to see whats in it is going to cause, there are some people who don't pay attention and these people think that its going to be free there out there, you know it. I predict more people will die because they will be so upset that they were lied to by their lord and savior BHO that they will just start shooting people. But maybe that is the plan to get rid of carbon producing life forms to save the planet from climate change, its a war you know? A war on carbon.

Poor bellowing conservatives........

Faced with the prospect of having to pay their own way by purchasing health insurance, they grasp wildly at the subsidized teat of free health care at their local emergency room.

No logical thinking person can understand how someone ranting about wanting everyone to have skin in the game, suddenly doesn't want to put any of their own into it.

Yea, because we're just certain it's conservatives that are frequenting the emergency rooms with no insurance. I mean, all of the employment and educational statistics you've provided clearly show minorities who voted for Obama all have jobs, insurance and aren't the people clogging up our emergency rooms on a daily basis, right Bob??

Right Bob???

Psst...Bob...most conservatives already have their own insurance. It's the progressives (you know...all those poor, uninsured people that ACA is supposed to help) who can't wait for that ACA teat to be offered to they can suckle freely. Sadly, they're about to find out how NOT free that teat is going to be. Take the blinders off and take a good look at what's happening to insurance rates all over the country as a result of ACA and then look at what many employers are doing to avoid having to put their employees on the insurance rolls. Those employees will now have to go out to the exchanges and purchase their own insurance or face fines. Whoopsie...why is it that the very people the government says they want to help wind up being screwed by them...and they don't even get a kiss in the process?
UAW contract insurance? LOL...next contract, I predict the contract only covers the individual employee, not the spouse...but they'll generously allow your wife to add you to her policy for a 'small' monthly surcharge.

Bob has obviously never spent any amount of time in a busy ER and watched who the majority of the patients walking through that door seeking 'free' health care are.

Or calling the billing offices and demanding the charges be written off, or even going as far as telling the rep to "bill my obamacare" (yes, that call was actually received last week in our office)

Sorry to disappoint you there Bob, but I already purchase my own health insurance. I also use the emergency room as care of the last resort for TRUE emergencies that cannot wait until the office is open the next day, urgent care is not open for the emergency, or as directed by my doctor's office. Most conservatives you find would prefer that and leaving the ER staff available for those TRUE emergencies and for the people who truly need it.

As for skin in the game? It's been there since I started working at age 15. How about you Bob?

Hey Bob,

The unions are now discovering the hidden surprise Nancy Pelosi was talking about when she so infamously encouraged her democrat cohorts to just sign the damn bill and find out later what's inside. So please include them in with the rest of us you're calling whiners.

As predicted, by those of us you called racists and old lady haters, in response to Obamacare's expensive and overreaching mandates, companies have taken the approach of cutting the hours of their employees so they aren't responsible for supplying them with Obamacare. Go figure!

Now, interestingly, the law writers must have also predicted this, because in one of the millions of passages they decided they'd just deem 30 hours to equal a full

From the article:
[Seems like that wake up call has come a bit too late. And the unions arenít calling for abolition, they just want special privileges because they prostituted themselves to promote ObamaCare which makes it rather hard to feel sorry for them.]

There's still a few nose-tweaking morons out there who will support Obama and his farcical namesake law, but when the people who signed it, and those that fought for it, turn against Ol' Big Ears you know it's only a matter of time.

REPEAL!

Yeah, because we were doing so much better when the insurance companies jacked up premiums every year, and ran the real death panels that said sick people need not apply! Those same good old days when employers weren't slashing pay and benefits to pad their own profits.

When was that?

The Republicans have wasted years and years avoiding the problem with the health care industry, and simply returning to the days of ignoring the problem is not the answer.

Who's suggesting we ignore a problem? Republicans have offered alternatives the entire time, including traveling policies, vouchers and removing the pre-existing condition clause. Traveling policies alone would improve competition in the health insurance market, which would then reduce cost, increase quality and improve technology. Vouchers would address the people who can't afford insurance. Getting rid of the pre-existing clause would necessarily add some increase to the deal, but there could be alternative avenues of paying for that.

These are real solution that you universal health care Obama fanatics refused to acknowledge, and continue to deny. All you want is some kind of sick revenge against insurance companies and the same old anti-business rhetoric BS we always hear from liberals.

As a result of your angry, revenge-seeking mentality what we got thanks to you and Nancy Pelosi's surprise-at-the-end stupidity is a law that does nothing that it promised to. The headline and accompanying link are evidence of that. Of course, you've probably ignored that too.

Maybe you should pull your head out of the sand? My premiums have gone up every year a MINIMUM of 5% each year. Thanks to Obamacare, my "rider" for my children was eliminated and it was changed to a "family" plan and I saw an increase of 15%. NOW, they are already saying we are going to see another double digit increase this year - AND this is the last year we will be able to keep this plan. Why do you ask? Because the company we use is no longer going to offer this plan. So now we are going to have to change plans, change insurance, and if I'm lucky, not see an increase of at least 25% of MY portion because now the government now dictates how much of the insurance premium my company is now FORCED to make me pay.
So much for keeping my insurance like I was promised....
