Every single time I log onto WOOD TV 8 lately, there is a news feed about a motorcycle fatality. This is tragic.
People have to stop riding motorcycles. It simply isn't worth it...they are TOO DANGEROUS.

How sad and devastating this is. Chris was a GREAT guy whos life ended in such a tragic way. He was doing what he loved which was riding his motorcycle, however, it is soooo sad that his life was cut so short. I know that this community will relay together in this sad time. RIP Chris!!!!

Amen to that. While technically it is often the driver of the cars fault, it happens so often because THEY ARE HARD TO SEE. You can wine and complain all you want about unattentive drivers, but it's still going to happen to good honest people. There is no such thing as a fender bender when your on a motorcycle. Oh, and let's outlaw the cell phone users and make it a penalty equal to drunk driving, it's just as dangerous.

My prayers go out to both families involved in the accident, and also to those of us who drive on the road, be careful out there.

It doesn't have anything to do with bikers. It has to do with the guy driving the car having two prior O.W.I.L's and driving on a suspended license. If he wasn't driving there would be no death..........

Stop riding bikes? Not going to happen. Just like bicycles, we have the right to the use of the road same as you. BEN... they CAN be seen, you just have to open your eyes and pay attention like you are supposed to. My condolences to the family for this tragic event.

I'm a wife of a police officer in Barry County. Please pray for our officers and Chris Yonkers family. This has been the hardest thing. We need all the support of the Barry county area familys. We all City, County, State need to support and be their not only for the yonker family, but for each other. I feel very lost and helpless. So, I'm asking everyone, lets just all be their to help each other out. We will miss you Chris Yonkers, your an outstanding man, friend, husband, father, and COP. We love you, keep riding in heaven.

How about changing laws and punishment for people driving when they legally shouldn't be.

I think that you may want to not write on this. You think that because he was a Cop that things are going to be covered up? I don't care who you are, what you are, but this is not the time nor is this the place to get into this. I was their and I know what happen. Nothing is being covered up!!! Please if you don't have something nice to say, DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!
