The hair found in the trunk of the car had a "decomposed" black strip on it; which means it came from a dead body. The hair could be from Cindy, brother Lee , Casey or Caylee. Only one of them was missing and presumed dead. Live bodies can't have decomposed hair.
Ohhhhh....hadn't heard it had decomposition on it.
Thanks for the info TLC :)

One of the many news pieces on this I read said they found duct tape still stuck to the skull. I only hope that little Caylee went to sleep and did not suffer. I am imagining Casey putting chloroform on Caylee until she passed out, then putting duct tape on her mouth to keep her cries quiet if she woke up. I believe Caylee then, never woke back up. It may have been an accident, we may never know.
I'm so thankful this body "resurfaced", and perhaps we will now have justice for Caylee.
A big "if", it was an accident in the beginning; it stopped being one when you cover up the death. How could anyone say it is an accident if she used chloroform to put the child to sleep to leave her in the trunk of the car overnight, while she slept with her boyfriend? Making chloroform is no accident; it can be very deadly. Their is no excuse for having high levels of chloroform in the trunk of the car with a child. And now duct tape over her mouth; which sources say it was. If Caylee died accidentally from the swimming pool or fallen; no chemicals should be involved. Decomposition smell that was so strong in July, is still in the car today. Could she have put Caylee in the bag still alive even; possible. Makes me wonder if she was trying to leave Caylee in the trunk overnight while she was with Tony; no way would I call that an accidental death. All their excuses are gone, except for insane; and Casey hasn't been declared that. Yet!

No problem. That's why I think hair in the bag could be so vital if it matches hair in the car; because Casey had the car, not a nanny, or anyone else. Defense could point fingers at Tony and his roommate or maybe other members of the Anthony family; depends on whose fingerprints are on or in the trunk of that car. Now that they have a body with possible matching decomposed hair which could be Caylee's....wow...that says a lot!

I should clarify that decomposition with hair isn't like having fluids on it; the hair itself shows decomposition within the insides of the hair strand as a black ring around the inside. They usually show what it would look like on Nancy Grace show. It's not something you can see with the naked eye. Lawyer Baez could try to deny one strand of hair, but not a bag full of strands.

Forensics science is the greatest tool of all.
Baez better hope for a plea bargain, but the state shouldn't give her a chance now.

Yeah, but its not like Tony and his roommate couldn't have lied as well??
Depends who was in that car. They say Casey rode in Tony's jeep at times; in fact, he let her borrow it. Casey also borrowed friend Amy's car, too, when she dumped her's off hidden behind a store. Casey was alone when she dumped off her car. She called Tony to pick her up at the cash-check store; she had groceries with her that she took from her parents home. She said she ran out of gas and her dad would pick it up. Nobody knew Caylee was missing except for Casey. You would have to know about all the lies Casey told everyone, including the cops when they questioned her.

TLC, where are you hearing all the stuff about duct tape on the skull/over the mouth....Last I knew, they weren't releasing ANYTHING so that they wouldn't jepoardize the case
On CNN. They have people who have been with this case from the beginning who have hidden sources that have given info that's been true all along. Even Tim from Equasearch, who was searching for Caylee; was allowed at the site; and he's not a cop or FBI. He has experience looking for evidence in woods and such places. They say the duct tape was over the mouth now, and could have body tissue on it. The detectives will never say it until court.

All these IF's. The lady was lying about so much, she also had no business being a mom. Sounds like some of her family/friends say so, so why didn't any of these people ask sooner, where is Caylee was.....the lady is no lady, and needs to have the death penalty, kind of like an eye for an eye. Put duct tape on her, chloroform over her, and then put her in the trunk of a car on a hot july night, and see how long it takes. Then we could just throw her in a garbage bag, and then she would be disposed of.

What do you think the chances are that the person who used the duct tape used gloves?
They said you can't rip off duct tape with gloves; maybe I will have to try and see if it works. I don't think Casey would think about wearing gloves. She didn't think the body would be found. That area is full of snakes, water, and high brush. They think it might have been partially buried, or covered with brush.

I tried with gloves; I could rip it. It was very hard to lift the first edge up, though. I think I had my glove fuzz on it, which helped. Casey isn't bright enough to think of wearing gloves. Her lies go on and on so bad, that she traps herself in her lies.

Honestly I think George and Cindy knew something was wrong after awhile. Cindy said in the 911 call that it took her a month to find Casey, so that tells me she was looking, but she will never admit that now. Casey texted Cindy a lot, to avoid questions. She also always had an answer for why Cindy couldn't talk to Caylee on the phone. In one interview in the beginning, Cindy said Casey wanted some time to bond with her child on a vacation because they weren't close. But the truth is, Cindy and Casey got into a huge fight that neighbors heard, where Cindy was actually choking Casey for stealing money from Cindy's parents nursing home fund. That was on the evening of June 15th; Casey left the home in the middle of the night with Caylee. Cindy has been feeling guilty ever since, I think.
I, too, believe Casey should have death penalty, but rotting in prison would be worse for her.

I don't know about all of the lies, I'm sure, since I didn't follow the case the whole time, but having watched these past few days, she sure did tell alot of them
I watched the video of her cell visit w/her brother on the 25th of July, and I didn't get the impression that he was involved or had knowledge of anything, but I did notice that throughout the majority of their conversation, her eyes were focused, but at the end, when he asked her if there was anything she wanted him to tell the media and she talked about Caylee, her eyes were all over the place
Then you probably didn't hear her first phone calls from jail when she didn't know she was being recorded. Holy cow...she was a witch! Complained to them that all they cared about was Caylee, and not her. She wanted Tony's phone number and they (Cindy and brother Lee) wouldn't give it to her. Tony wouldn't talk to her anyway. She led the police on so many goose trails; to a job she didn't have; many people who don't even exist. I hope they do a movie made about this story. Oh, that's another thing; she claims she had a friend named Juliette Lewis; who is an actress that played a young girl on death row in 3 different movies. I think they should use her for the movie.

I thought Casey left in the morning of June 16th--George has said that that was when he last saw them, thus, Casey didn't leave in the middle of the night
George works late night shift. It was 1 am when he said Casey left with Caylee, because he was watching a cooking show at the time that he always watches. So, technically, it was the 16th. At first they said June 8th, but video evidence that they always show of Caylee now is dated for the 15th; at the nursing home of Cindy's father.

This link is the one where they talk about duct tape being on the mouth of the skeletal remains. Poor little Caylee! I cried so much yesterday. I have a 3 year old granddaughter named Katie, close names.

It wasn't precise
The duct tape was still on the mouth of the skull.

Both of these sites always has things listed.

I don't know the exact web page at the moment with the timeline, but I know both sites have a timeline. Gail has a few others, too, which were listed earlier in this forum. Maybe she will list them again for you. The dateline show tonight at 10 pm, I think is going to be about this whole time period. That was a show planned before the body was found. www.abc.com should still have the show on there to watch that they had on TV once that had the story of this case, too; along with videos of Caylee. If you search in any of these sites, you will find a lot. I read through the first 600 pages of documents, but never got through all of the last 800 pages. Many interviews are on video now , too, to view.

I know how you feel. My youngest granddaughter just turned 5 yrs. old. I would go crazy if a child of mine was missing; not party, drink, shopping sprees and be happy like Casey was. One of the lawyers on CNN says this isn't enough evidence, but I disagree. Now they have new evidence with a body, but I always thought the combined evidence of everything proved Casey guilty. Because no mother in her right mind would act like Casey did.

It wasn't complete bone yet, there were still human tissues on the skull, that's probably why the tape was still there. One of them (WESH2 I think) said there was also hair on the remains, the same color as Caylee's hair. This is a nightmare!!!

I have a 22 month old grandson and a 7 week old grandson. I can't imagine being out partying while they were missing or even waiting 31 seconds to report them missing, much less 31 days.

I heard about the duct tape around the skull, too. It just makes it even more sickening. But, you know, after everything that has come out during the course of this case, nothing should really surprise us. That pig, Casey, is capable of anything. Her family knows it and so do her lawyers.

I don't look at Nancy like that; but she is tough and doesn't put up with crap from anybody. She was a prosecuting attorney, so she knows how to go after someone, that's for sure.
But she also kept this story alive, and kept Caylee's pic on TV everyday with phone numbers and the reward posted.
