If you ever had the chance to start all over again would you change anything or no?

I think I would of not dropped out of school in the 11th grade & prob. go to college to major in something.

I think i would like to be black this time. So I can sell drugs and let Granholm put me back on the streets.
I would support Al Sharpton bull crap too.

Maybe I would have stayed in my first house that we bought. It would have been just the right size for us now.

I made alot of mistakes when I was young, and I'm still thinking up new ones.

Like Gail, I wish we would have stayed in our little house on the lake. I got tired of skinny-dippers and drunks in my front yard. Now, I probably wouldn't care - as long as I could get some sleep.

Since Michael Jackson and I (are) the same age, I'm waiting to keel over.

I wouldn't have started smoking.

I would have saved my money when I was in college - lived with mom and dad, they paid my tuition, and I had two jobs. Wasted all my money on stupid crap - like the $120 pair of boots which I wore exactly twice because they were so painful.

I wouldn't have wasted so much time in my teens and twenties being so concerned about what people thought of me.

I made huge mistakes and had horrible stuff happen to me when I was young. But if everything hadn't happened the way it did, and I tried to change it, I'd risk losing the good things I have now, like two amazing, quirky, grown children. So no, I'm a package, good, bad, and indifferent.

I wouldn't have gone into teaching, though I'm retired, I never would have thought that I would have so much explaining to do socially. Gotten a roommate when I started out, bought a house earlier and not have spent so much money on cars!

I would have kept in contact with Josh Zakerski and I wouldn't have yanked his chain so much when I was a teenager. I would have stayed single longer. I would not have cheated on Mr. Garrett a long time ago--it took both of us a long time to recover from that...IF we ever really did. I would not have joined the Army when I was 19 'cause some really bad crap happened to me when I was in.

Those are the big ones.

Oh...and I would have loved my body and myself as a teenager more, shown my self more self-respect, and pursued my truest and only dream of becoming an Archaeologist.

There. Those are ALL of the big ones.

It's never too late to pursue your dreams! Why not become an archaeologist now? You mentioned before that you were writing a book, right? Even if you never went on a dig, you could always write a archaeological thriller. You know, like the Mummy, only without the creepy scarabs and the bad sequels.(I spelled his name wrong, didn't I?)

Oops. I had something in there about Brendon Fraiser, and then thought better of it. That's whose name I thought I misspelled.

This is why you finish reading the post before you hit Post Comment.

Yep. I'm dumb.

I would have got a factory job from my electronics training and not a one owner retail local repair shop.

But heck I bet I would have lost that job by now anyway, all this China Mexico crap taking over.

I really regret all the time I spent in college and working while my children were small. It paid off in the long run, but you can't get those precious years back.

I've thought of volunteer digs out west. In high school and college I was enamoured (sp?) with Egypt and Rome. Staying in the states would be a lot more realistic!!

I enjoyed the Mummy. Even if it did have Brendan Frasier in it!! The scarabs were the freakiest things 'cause I just hate insects in general.

I think the book is a way for me to fulfill all of my dreams through the character's actions in the text. Congratulations, btw, on the progress of your work! That's awesome!

All in all, I'm quite happy w/ the ways things have turned out. There are minor things that I would like to "redo". Like, having a closer relationship w/ my older relatives when I had a chance, not putting my parents thru so much crazyness(sp)& stress when I was younger, or planning our wedding a little differently, little things like that. There are times when we think that we shouldn't have bought this house that we are currently living in, but someday all of our remodeling will be done and over with!

Loving your body & having self respect are some things that I wish the younger generation could have more of. I feel horrible for those young girls who feel so much peer pressure to look or act like someone else. I was very lucky to have grown up a "tom boy" & I was able to avoid that.

I suppose that the grass is always greener on the other side.
I worked for one of the big 3 office furniture factories (nope your first guess was wrong) for over 30 years. The first 15 years were good, but when they began talking in Japanese terms, it became an unhappy place... more more more with less and less people.
I guess if I had it to do over, I would have gone to college and done something I liked.
