I also had a scary accident as a kid on a swing set, still dis-like the things. I heard about Hannah from a friend of yours out here and came home worried, and thought I would check her progress. I will keep your little girl in my prayers and thoughts.

Everyone is still praying for Hannah, we haven't forgotten. There is a website called Carepages where you can create an account for a loved one and then post updates on their condition. I know you are probably really busy but if you made one I know it would be very beneficial to all of us who don't know little Hannah but want to keep updated on her condition.

GRAND RAPIDS — Hannah Grace Hower was taken from us on Friday, May 9, 2008, after a 2 1/2 week fight for her life.
She is survived by her parents, Doug and Erika Hower of Grand Rapids; maternal grandparents, Martin and Carole Chirgwin; paternal grandfather, Leonard and Jill Hower; and her paternal grandmother, Sharley Hower; all of Traverse City.

This is a tragic loss for all who knew her. She will be remembered for her joyful and caring nature, her love of others, and her willingness to embrace life.

Visitation for family, close friends and colleagues will be at the Metcalf and Jonkhoff Funeral Home on this evening, May 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be private.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, that donations please be made of behalf of Hannah to the DeVos Children's Hospital (PICU); The Renucci House of DeVos Children's Hospital/Spectrum Health; the Forest Hills Presbyterian Preschool; or the John Ball Zoological Society.
